    Thoughts

VERY good question- a great car is much more than a checklist of features.

NSX 2.0 pictures from the NAIAS

OK, probably even better than I hoped for, considering the other recent attempts. And good old Ohio! Something to make up for taking some of the motorcycle production back to Japan! Time to start socking away some Benjamins... got three years to work on this? Disappointing if it's that...

NSX 2.0 pictures from the NAIAS

Very much looking forward to this, even though I haven't finished my '96 to '02 conversion. Unlike I think the majority of members here, if it turns out like the Motor Trend conceptualization, I think I could live with it fairly well- nose and all! We'll see soon- only 1 hour 49 minutes by...

    Love the NSX...but why? (non-owner)

An analogy, of what driving an NSX is like.... may not make sense to you, but for think about it... driving the NSX is like ballroom dancing with a very skilled, nimble, balanced responsive partner... everything you do works better, and you can find yourself discovering things you wouldn't...

    NSX in "Great Condition"

Having seen Mike's car, I can testify to the accuracy of his statements. My black 96 has seen rain once that I know of, but upon "viewing" is thought by co-workers to be a 1-2 year old car until I explain the facts of life. Of course, I cheated, too; it has a new driver's side seat in 2005...

The Question. Why did you buy NSX?

Balance- superb handling with enough power to give many more "powerful" cars fits on the track - motorcycle equivalent is their VFR800 - engine with very flat and wide torque curve, FI, VTEC. Classic good looks- just compare with anything from the same timeframe. Not ugly, unlike a lot of new...

    Another one bites the dust.

One way to pick up an NA2 engine and transmission, probably with low miles.

wow... just wow ('92 with only 11k miles)

Looks like it came out of a time machine. My favorite color combo, too. Too bad I just don't have a spare 40G lying around... Assuming no "issues", it's still going to need a TB. How do you only put 11 - 12 K miles on in 16 years?

Whats the funniest thing anyone's said about your car?

That is such a classic!! Something you'd only expect to see in a movie, but you'd think it too contrived if you did!

When looking for an NSX to buy, did you compromise on your first choice?

For me, it was mechanical condition and maintainence first, then price a close second, then color. I'd have preferred to get a formula red, but in the end wound up with Berlina Black. Had to travel to So Cal, too, from the SF Bay area. Not a lot of choice up here.

    NEW & always prospective owner...

That's a mighty nice LBB to go with your original. I dream of getting a later model someday, but as few as were produced from 02 onwards, it's even less likely with guys like you doubling up! Congratulations regardless!! ~Jon

    Proud new owner in Seattle!

Welcome to the forum and to NSX ownership, Boyd! Nice car- formula red with the black top is my all time favorite NSX color combo! (yeah, wish I'd been able to find a good one when I was shopping, but MCM beat me to the red one he has). It was a little surreal when I finally got mine several...

NSXPrime is the #1 car forum on the planet!

I have to totally agree, but then I hardly give more then a cursory glance at other car sites... comes from being stuck on NSX's, I guess.
