Big willow, need input on problems- Video

illwillem - My critique of your video at WSIR, which I consider my home track. Turn 2 -- take a tighter line all the way through, as close to the inside white line as you can. Car will track out a little about 2/3 of the way through, then get all the way right at apex. Turn 3 - going a...

^^^ I'm in SoCal, so weather is not an issue for driving the NSX.

    Daily Driving the '92 NSX

So lately I have been driving my '92 NSX 5MT coupe as a daily driver. Not every single day, but 3-4 days a week, including driving to work and going to the grocery store. It's such a wonderful car. The worst thing is getting in and out of it, since I'm getting older and am overweight. The...

Don't want to risk my NSX on track . . .

Re: Central CA Lap times FM lap record with SCCA on the big track at Willow Springs is 1:20.444. That's pretty fast. Richard FM #5

Don't want to risk my NSX on track . . .

FM is cheap to buy and pretty much bullet proof, requiring less maintenance than most amatuer open wheel race cars. This car has SCCA log books going back to 1984 with a new chassis in 2000. It is so much fun to race on track compared to every modified street car I have driven in the last 9...

NSX vs Porsche 911 GT3RS at Infineon Raceway (Sears Point)

OK, I can see your point about when to pass the Evo in the first session of the day. Never ran RIR -- my first open track day was in 2003 and I started W2W racing in 2008. The top of my bucket list is racing Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, second is Bathurst in Austalia, and third is Le Circuit...

Don't want to risk my NSX on track . . .

So I bought this. My first W2W race day in an open wheel car. Buttonwillow in So Cal 5-19-12 with SCCA/Cal Club. Race Group #5 (open wheel cars). Qualified 2nd out of 2 cars in class, and 3rd of 19 cars in open wheel race group. Finished 2nd in class and 4th overall. Bought a CD of photos...

NSX vs Porsche 911 GT3RS at Infineon Raceway (Sears Point)

The GT-3 driver was not very good. He obviously had way more hp in a straight line than your NSX, but you kept catching him in the corners. If not for the clutch failure, I predict you would have gone inside him in Turn 11 and passed on that same lap. He would have pussied out after the pass...

Maybe blew an oil gear tracking saturday at SOW.

You guys are about to convince me to stop tracking the NSX completely and just concentrate on racing the Formula Mazda. I just got a trailer and am about to get a tow vehicle, so I'm mobile with the FM now.

    NASA-AZ Annual Night Event

You NSX owners in Arizona are pretty close to the new Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in Desert Center, CA, about 50 miles east of Indio, CA right off I-5, and I think about 50 miles west of Blythe. Take your NSX to that track. It's really great. Very well designed with turns that flow from one to...

    NSX at Horse Thief Mile.

^^^ Research the driver and the modifications on his car before posting on the internet? Don't get your knickers in a twist, Sally. And I think you ought to reconsider your signature here.

    NSX at Horse Thief Mile.

OK, I don't know anything about your car. Turbocharged? The fastest lap time I am aware of that has ever been run in a car that started life as a street car, at the Willow Springs big track (not HTM) is 1:18.5, by Billy Johnson (stuntman) in the FXMD NSX. That is an absoultely amazing time...

You haven't lived until you have driven your NSX at Infineon Raceway/Sears Point in Sonoma, CA.

    NSX at Horse Thief Mile.

Exactly what I said. I have run several track days in my NSX, and I can usually pull away in the corners, but once you hit the front straight, the GT-R, Z06, M3, 911 Turbo, etc. etc. etc. go blasting past me.
