Socal Beach Party July 23, 2005

Not sure what time with Dagmar and the kids. I'll probably get there relatively early if the waves are good. (9 or 10 maybe). I'm guessing Dagmar and the kids not there until later in the day. (Getting there between 11-1, as a guess. Who's knows with her scheduling uhhh....ability.) -Doug...

Socal Beach Party July 23, 2005

I don't have any fire wood, but I can pick some up at the store if no one else has any. Please post here if you have wood to bring. I'll park the trailer close the Acura banner early in the morning, probably 7 a.m or so, and I'm riding a bicycle back to the house. If I am not there when...

Socal Beach Party July 23, 2005

For those who haven't been to Kent's corn cookout, when Kent says "just North", he really means about 2.5-3.0 miles north of the Huntington Beach pier, and he's closer to the Jack-in-the-Box at Warner Ave. Entrance to Bolsa Chica Beach is about a mile SOUTH of Warner. I'll probably bring the...

    Roll Bar

If you are going to be HPDE/Time Trial every other weekend, I would try to get some type of custom bolt in roll bar put in. That's 26 times in a year that you will be risking your body to potential injury. Even if you are a safe driver, there are other people on the track that could do stupid...

    Friday - JGTC Warmup sessions

Speed Ventures rented Cal Speedway this Friday for their track event. Rumor has it that the JGTC guys are going to have a practice session around lunch time, and another one right after the SV event. Could be an opportunity to see the cars up close without a lot of people around, take...

Anyone going to Buttonwillow this Sunday 10/03?

Car ran good the first session for me. We threw Wayne in the car, and the clutch blew up within half a lap......... So we packed up, trailered 3 hours back home, and had lunch at home by 2:00 p.m. -Doug Everytime someone else drives the Flamemobile, it breaks!

Help, overheating problem at Streets of Willow!

I'm above 250/260 on the oil when I am on it full bore. I haven't tried a different oil, I just run what Comptech thinks is best. (I can't remember the weight, it is Redline oil). -Doug

    NSX-Files Update: California Speedway

I had the same problem with the kart version. If the track map doesn't look close, make sure you: 1. Have the data plugs pointing AWAY from you (at least on the kart version) Or 2. Somewhere in the menu is the option to "flip" or mirror" or "reverse" the track map...

    NSX-Files Update: California Speedway

Yeah, they could have been too cold. I was told to have max 29-30 when hot, so I was just configuring to get them to those temps when hot. I didn't know about a minimum pressure. Jenna costs me $29 a month, so I didn't pay for it last month. I'm waiting for more people to send in more lap...

Help, overheating problem at Streets of Willow!

I don't have any overheating problems with the Flamemobile on the water side, but the oil temp is getting high, even with the accusump and mini-oil cooler. I have the stock radiator. Maybe you have crap in your radiator that has to be flushed out? -Doug

    So Cal Beach Party 6-19-2004

I'll be there around 11 or so. Dagmar will probably show up with Kayla around 1 p.m. We have to leave by 3:30 to go to my niece's graduation party. I'll bring tables, EZ-Ups, a few chairs. I'll leave the truck at the beach, and if someone can drop the truck+stuff off at Wayne's house (about...

Car was just egged.....I need some help....

You're screwed. Same thing happen to my S2000 in Pahrump last year. That "spider web" pattern can't be fixed by detailing, you'll need to paint. I didn't realize it was an egg that hit the car that did the damage until Lanzini autobody said an egg causes that type of pattern. -Doug

    CTSC is running lean...

Autowave put the AEM on the Flamemobile. I was very skeptical at first, and I pretty much had them put it on with me kicking and screaming that it wasn't gonna work. My Comptech Supercharger was having the lean problem high in the RPM range, and we had to bump the fuel pressure up a lot to...
