2012 Austin Texas NSXcraze

Sorry I was so slow this weekend. I just got my car back from the shop with a brand new clutch and it is still in the break-in period. I had to stay out of boost and drive like grandma, which was no fun at all. Y'all kept leaving me behind.

I put a good number of miles towards breaking it in, especially with that traffic jam on the way out of Houston. By Sunday I was experimenting with some aggressive downshifts. I figure in another few hundred miles I'll start doing highway pulls under low boost and more aggressive launches.

Great event, and nice to meet you guys from San Antonio and Dallas, too.

On Saturday I had planned on a group drive with the rest of the group. I had a choice to either take a non NSX out and join or hustle and prep the Magnum Gray for a surprise cameo. Being teased the night before I chose the RED pill and waited till the dinner at Jaspers.

With the help of other Prime members which host Texas Hospitality, the NSX arrived to the event. Harsh rain almost had me turn around as I stayed under a bridge for an hour. This was the first time driving an NSX in the rain since ownership. I was afraid of someone hydroplaning into me and those pesky 18 wheelers, some came close as I waited. I did have one close call hitting a large pool of water. Hence my wait.


Car pictured with 17/18 Work XD7 wheels. When I first bought the car it had 17/18. I always thought they needed to be 18/19 (Personal preference). After reviving these sizes I can tell MVW (Mike) 17/18 fit the NSX depending on style of wheel.

Pic just didn't do justice to Gil's car, I am still shock by how amazing this car is in person. So glad you shown up at dinner with the NSX.
One of the BEST interior ever! This car really show and go! The engine sounds so good!
Batman will drive this as his Daily!:biggrin:
 
thanks gil! ive got a few 17/18 advan 5s ready to go since its all about the spokes extending right to the wheels! will likely just sell the works even though they have never been mounted with good tires and powdercoated!

your car looks mean and slammmmmed! glad all was safe :)

sorry guys. I had something to take care of on friday in austin so I had to split off. Had to head back to houston early so couldn't make the drive with you guys. Hopefully next year.
