How to lure nsxtasy to his 10000th post

Animate said:
I think we should get a fund together to help nsxtasy mod his car....just to show appreciation for all his contributions to Prime. What do you say guys? Maybe we could start simple. Perhaps a Lambo door conversion and some meaty wheel spacers?

Cool Idea! I'll donate all the money I'm going to save by never changing my timing belt again. I hear it lasts forever.

:D

Come on! nsxstsay should already be lucky with his NSX: He owns a '91 (like me!) and this is the only year that they hand made them and they used aluminium in the construction. After '91 they moved from Tochigi to Bagdad and they used compressed wood to build the cars using a MacIntosh controlled machine!

PS: I did not use Mac randomly when trying to have Ken to chime in! :D

I was just wondering if my Viper resembles an article of clothing?
Pretty darn sure it doesn't - no way at all...

I am posting here since I do not know where else to post-

Since we all know that more air = WAY more horsepower: what about removing the airfilter? The K&N and other no-name Cones are safer than the OEM filter but I also think that no filter is at least as safe as OEM and the increase in horsepower should be in the 10-15% range.

I will not take out the catalisators as previously written!! I will go for the no-filter solution and I will also remove the OEM 15-16 wheels (the so called boat-anchor, since they are the heaviest wheels around). What do you think? Will my 1/4 time drop in the high 11s?

You guys missed it, Ken made his 10,000th post! But when he saw what it did to his post count, he promptly deleted it. I was able to make a screen capture before he did so, however. Enjoy! ;)

Is this true????

If it is, I posted at the place where the 10'000 post appeared in this thread, right after dlongo's post! :D

But what it is strange, is that even in the "last post" field in his profile, it is still 29th May... is this updated after the deletion of a post back to the previous last-time?

I don't think it goes back to 0 after 10,000th post.
In the other forums, there are numerous folks who have posted well over 10,000-30,000 posts (with a whopping over 30 posts per day rate). So.. please don't be scared, NSXTACY... you still have a long way to go :D

i'm surprised he hasn't taken the bait....or maybe he's so ticked off now that he's left prime for good

Well, that would leave more room for the rest of us minions.

I'm thinking that after 10,000 posts, your name and avatar should be retired.

I'm also thinking that someone with over 30,000 posts, needs to develop their interpersonal skills.

A long time ago, nsxtasy said he would abandon his account at 9999 and start again... maybe that's what he's done...

...i think someone needs to hack his account and do the 10000th post for him... obviously he can't go through with it. :D Lud, can you please reset his account password for us to use? :D j/k

HOLD ON A SECOND... look at my stats... i've reached 10001 Posts! :D

Last post 5/29. First post for NASTNSX 5/29. No geographic region listed. Coincidence? Maybe he started over?

Na, he couldn't abandon 10k. :p

blue knight: yeah... that was some serious post-whoring i did last night. ;)

gheba: you certainly are the master of arguments... some really good points, and i totally agree with removing the airfilter. ;)

come on ken... you're only two posts off regaining #1 on the post-count list. :D

You guys really have some serious sense of humor. I can't believe I was checking this post in Kinkos during my lunch break, having people giving me weird looks while cracking myself up. :p

I especially enjoyed Phoen$x's suggestion on tires/rims rotation and Tiger740's NSXTACY. :D

Now that I've realized this post is more like "How to piss Ken off," I should be aware of any red/black NSXs nearby. I'm gonna get killed for starting this thread, aren't I?

Lame use of photoshop...

Neo, I ran into Forums Nazi a few minutes ago. He heard about your acheivement (of course, before you even hit 10000) and was in a rare celebratory mood...

Gutbusters!

You guys are killing me!

My oh my, what talented people we have here on this forum...

Ojas: I hope that vette engine in the NSX is just a photoshop job, and not an actual transplant!

NsxJoy: Not to worry, I'm sure Ken will have some choice words for us at NSXPO.

Nope, he can't be: First of all, I have a '95 NSX, which is better looking and faster than the earlier ones. Plus, I improved it by putting on bigger wheels and tires that are cheaper, higher mileage and also stickier than the OEM tires. Also, once the timing belt gets some wear on it, like mine has, the engine runs better at high revs due to lower belt friction. Not to mention the fact that he lacks the analytical skills to be me.

I fly out of town and already someone is infringing on the "Big Daddy" hat rights. LOL :)

:D :D :D

I'd love to know how I can transport my track wheels-tires with me without a trailor or support vehicle,anyone....?

That's right. I can assure you nsxtasy isn't dougjgreen.

1) '91 NSXs are, in fact, faster than '95 because they are coupes, which weigh a lot less than Ts (not TARGAS).

2) "Lacks the analytical skills" to be you? You're kidding, right?

3) As you can see, I've been on this board for quite some time now, Mr. dougjreen. Perhaps you should do a search b4 yOu JuMp iNTo CoNCLusi=-9onswd wdhfbk wouj...

AAARRRRRHHHHH!!!

What have I done!? I... I... I can't move my left arm... I feel that Agent Ken has somehow got into me. Be careful guys, he somehow managed to duplicate himself, there're "a lot more."

I think there's only one answer to this, "Neo"

NSXJoy, not much of a sense of humor, eh?

One other reason that Ken is not me, is that I can poke fun at myself on the forum, even though you might not have gotten the jokes.

OK, for the DENSE among you:

I KNOW that 91-94 coupes are faster than 95 Targas

I KNOW that you can't make a tire that is BOTH higher mileage and stickier than the OEM tires, and that Bigger Wheels are actually slower

I KNOW that wear on the timing belt doesn't make the car go faster,

and I KNOW that I jumped to an erroneous conclusion when I dissed NSXTASY's analytical skills in the Timing Belt thread

Sheesh, I would have thought that the context alone made it obvious that my prior post in this thread was a joke

Doug,
It's ok. After all, it's the weekend, don't let it bother you too much.
