NSX Engine Bay Dressed Up ~who's got the most BLING?

Let's stay on topic here and keep relevant info on here so people can see what nsx owners' do to their engine bays in term of dress up items!

A good format would be to list the mods and include ONE or TWO pictures of what you did.

Since starting this thread a while ago, I've been slowly working on my engine bay and picked up very nice billet engine brace that has been polished and some more chrome/CF pieces. Looking to tackle the ugly plastic coolant bottle next so debating should I get the nSX-R black plastic piece and have it painted or just get a polished billet coolant bottle?

Where do you guys get the billet pieces that cover the hoses right next to the intake throttle body?

wow ... 1000hp in an NSX must be insane ... huge respect.

Here's my 301's worth complete with the following

- OEM NSX-R engine cover
- Procar brace, intake, alternator belt cover, RWG
- Dali red expansion tank
- cleaning by me

Still to install is Evo's earthing kit and looking for a good oil filler cap.

Rick,

I like the work you're doing on interior lights and engine bay lights. Can you pm me some details and compatability for UK please

regards, Paul

Personally I prefer the billet coolant tank vs. the nsx-r black cover. The cover will only impress other nsx geeks like us, the billet tank looks mean and custom, which I think for the engine bay is where you wanna impress, given how nice, classy and low key your exterior is.

My list:
Gruppe M Supercharger
Custom polished piping
Dali billet fusebox cover
Dali billet coolant expansion tank
Gruppe M BigAssIntake (with DF fender scoop)
Gruppe M Kevlar engine bay surround
DF CF rear window garnish
Carbing stb
Mugen oil cap

STMPO rear strut bar
OEM NSX-R manifold plate
Comptech CF air box cover
Dali red coolant tank
DF CF engine cover
Custom Paint

hey bud, where did you get that metal piece that covers the vacuum lines near the intake rubber boot?

rick

That was made by a Primer a few years ago, with several options incl the nsx logo. It was quite nice and I'm still on the hunt for one.

thanks for the info and linky -I think I will need to have that piece custom made along with a few more billet pieces. I wish ARC Japan made more NSX engine pieces (they have some really nice parts for the s2000)

This is how my current bay looks:

What strut tower bar is that?

Still running the HKS SuperMegaFlow I see. I thought you were gonna get rid of that?

Very nice engine bay! Those color matched anodized parts are amazing. Is the throttle body cover plate custom made or was it purchased somewhere? I've seen similar ones in polished billet and would like to get one. Thanks.

Well long story short, I lost my oem nsx intake box cover and the CF one I bought from a Vendor does not fit the 2002+ targa's :( thus I'm stuck with this until I can custom make my own or get my hands on a GruppeM unit....

STB I dunno, it was from another nsxprime member but sure looks good!

Made I believe... If anyone remembers Luis (CRUZRMM), he had all of that work done. I remember back when he posted that thread he did cover the detail on it. If you search for CRUZRMMs posts it should be there.

Its weird to own the car now (she having passed through Patrick (COMPDNSX) and then on to me!) since I remember reading on the work they had done and thinking how clean it all was.

Bump for more pictures, trying to get some ideas

not the best shot, but

VHT wrinkle texture painted intake manifold cover, and valve covers, and the red dali racing coolant tank.

keep it simple imo:

and perhaps add the mugen lic plate bolts to the nsx r mesh cover:

sometimes less is more! i love how straight to the point it is. i mean my integra had every stupid jdm crap i could stuff into the engine bay:

mugen bolted up!

and my previous setup:

i'm not into chrome, faux cf etc so my nsx engine bay is getting cleaned up a tad.

That above ARC cover is most likely what I will order, I'm just waiting on SOS to show a pic of their new plate.

^wow alex you always had knack for picking clean looking mods!

I like that ARC engine cover - may have to pick one up for mine down the road, I miss my Comptech engine brace. Originally I got rid of it because it got in the way of the OEM hardtop cover but now I no longer use it.

I've been trying to locate the arc piece for ages. Nobody seems to be able to get one?

Ahhh I really like the comptech brace. I would've wanted one!

The search continues! Finally sold my project mu bbk...so that freed up some funds...

Dali told me 4-6 months on the ARC plate, going to order it from SOS today. They told me only 8 weeks, lol

8 weeks isn't bad. I still need to order the intake manifold cover haha.

The SOS one isn't too bad. Maybe even the SOS Honda one but replace it with a JDM badge

Just ordered the ARC intake plate and Fuse Box Cover from SOS.... yay
