NSX Sales figures > 1st of March

Yeahit was a kind of a bizarre cold call out of the blue, I did tell him I could get a 2017 for 20,000 off or more and he didn't have much to say

I am waiting and looking at 20-30% in a few months...just saying:wink:

Just got a phone call from my local dealer that American Honda will be giving a dealer rebate on 2018 orders he wasn't exactly clear on pricing but he said there's a minimum of $7500 built-in as rebate, can anyone confirm?

I spoke with one of the NSX Specialists today and asked if there was trunk money, etc. out there and he hadn't been informed of that.

A 2018 won't be delivered until at least February or March.
NO. dealers are confused.

$7500 lease cash is for store manager lease only.

Great bragging rights but would probably not make a penny of difference when you sell it in 2028 !

I passed on it but I seem not to sell my cars (and certainly not in only 10 years - e.g. S class benz with 325,000 miles, AMG with 235,000, E class with 233,000, NSX 165,000, MDX 164,000......)

Freon, no Man, the LC is a fantastic looking car, saw one close up at the dealership yesterday, the interior and the quality of the material used, make the NSX look second grade.....sorry.

On the road it looks great too.

Just me.

Yep. When we say that the interior of the NSX looks cheap, this is an example of what we mean.

I'd imagine pricing is a key difference. LC starts well below $90k whereas a NSX starts above $150k.

For the price, the LC looks really attractive both inside and out. That interior looks really expensive. But it seems like that's where most of the money budgeted for. Its engine, tranny, chassis, etc aren't anything special - certainly nowhere as sophisticated as the bespoke V6TT race car engine in the NSX and the sport hybrid awd system. It also shows in the weight department when it's almost 4400lb.

But that's okay. For the money, the interor and exterior are really nice in the LC. The performance and dynamics aren't too important for its market I'd think.

Completely accurate assessment, but here's the thing. For $90k the LC got the styling and "feel" correct. Toss in another $60k (60% increase) and you should be able to get the same feel + sophisticated engine.

Acura/Honda has great engineers, but poor designers & management. They keep building Hondas and try to price them as Acuras.

Definitely feel where you are coming from. Though I'd imagine the Sport Hybrid system is also pretty costly, eating up some of the budget for a nicer interior? As for exterior, I personally really, really like the NSX exterior, more so than the LC. For me the LC has a nicer interior.

With that said, the LC arguably has a nicer interior than many cars in the NSX segment, namely 911 turbo, 570S, R8, and i8. I feel like the NSX is alright in this group, not the best, not the worst kinda design.

I am with you. It is rare to see a fair comment on this forum.

As an owner, I don't really see fault of the interior. It is amazingly comfortable, everything works well, certainly a lot better than M6 interior or 18 TLX (I drove both extensively recently), not quite the 2018 Mercedes interior.

The LC is a great touring car. When they finally bring “structural Blue” to the US, I’ll be in line.

Love the looks of the LC, especially in that blue! I do wish they offered a slightly more bonkers powertrain to top the range. Perhaps that's coming. I'm sure the existing LC 500 is plenty fast for what it is trying to be, however.

The LC f is coming. I hear ~600 HP but big price tag. I drive the current one and find it enough for me. Honestly if the NSX could be got for $140-150 I wouldn’t look at the LC

Fyi..it can be had for less then $140K-$150  , I found mine for 10% less than what you are quoting...JM2C...I could be wrong..

I haven’t seen a ‘17 for less than $150k, let alone less than $140k. I have no need for any of the carbon fiber or the ceramic brakes. The Blue is premium. Aside from that, the basic stuff still puts the MSRP at around $173k. I would need about 14% discount to bring it below $150k. That would mean they would have give that kind of discount on an ordered car, because there are no spec’d cars out there like what I want. All blue NSXs on Cars.com are listed around $200k. Thanks.

you should read up on all the threads about the "bottom" in pricing...while not hotcakes many cars are now moving at 130-145 sale pricing all over the country...but you need to do the leg work and call many dealers. The low hanging fruits have been picked

I can confirm this. What's left now are the mid- and high-specced cars.

PS, I did a few more EMGs, docjohn. :D :D Now I have to decide. Love my current car, but the deals on the new one....some are still tasty....I'm honestly hoping I can resist.....
