NSXPO 2007 Photo blog

I just wanted to stop in and say that I had a great time in Columbus. Thanks to everyone that helped make the event happen.

I can't wait to see more of the pictures from TRC and Mid-Ohio. So far so good!

P.S.- I was the young guy in my friends Black '94 that drove in the afternoon session on Sunday. Some of you may remember my spin on the road course...

is NSXPO going to be in Canada in '09??
wheres it gonna be in '08?

off topic: where did you get those neat seat side bolsters and headrest pillows?? :) that was your car them, correct?
No, those were mine. The neck pillows came from nekbonz.com and the side bolsters were from our own Motegi, I think he can be convinced to start another run if there's enough interest!!!

I am the one who made the bolster protectors. There seemed to be plenty of interest at NSXPO so I'll try to arrange another production!

LOL! Who could forget!!!

I personally spun on the skid pad... but only under the strict orders of the instructor! "Faster. More throttle. Faster..."

lol, he got me to spin too :)
making me lift off the throttle, ha!

My spin was coming out of the long left hander onto the longest straight. He kept telling me to roll onto the throttle harder and sooner.. and did I ever. When it started to oversteer, I stayed in it for a little bit to try and ride it out, but apparently I didn't stay in it long enough and I lifted too suddenly. That was my first time ever driving the car in any track setting and I learned quite a bit.

I'm still curious as to what it looked like from outside the car.

This is a nice EC pic Baily.

The only think that would have made this trip more awesome would have been to be able to do a parade lap of the 7.5 mile test track with 60 degree banks. One of the honda instructors there said that at 140 MPH you could let go of the steering wheel and you would just go around the bank without touching it.

Hardcore Canadian Moment

This picture was taken after 1am Saturday night - not everybody who was at the CDN Embassy is in the picture, but you get the idea!

makes me almost glad I didnt show up till Sunday

2 Imola's. One factory and a na1 car with a black roof:wink: Don't worry, we took care of Grant at the Winking Lizard bar and Azule. He had plenty of Heinekens and we made him say, "Good day mate" and "lets put another shrimp on the barbie" about 100 times. I even tried to set him up with a rather, large woman.

You must be talking about that fake orange car.
And as I remember Michael, Grant wasn't the only one you tried to set up with a fat girl.

The "official" blog has been completed now that the event is over but it will take me several days to finish uploading all the photos to the linked galleries. I took over 4000 shots at TRC and Mid-Ohio and have photos of everyone at both venues except the Advanced drivers at Mid-Ohio since I was on the track with them. I will post when I have at least one shot of everyone uploaded but until then you can check that link periodically as more photos will be uploaded as they get processed.

Awesome stuff, Robert. Thanks for allowing those who couldn't attend to be there by proxy.
