I just had to post to say how awesome the Canadian Motorsport Heritage Day's Celebration of Speed was!

We should get a contingent of NSXs to come out next year. You don't have to drive your car on the track, you get to ride with Pro Drivers (or me:wink:)

Scott Goodyear, Elliot Forbes Robinson, Rick Bye, Chris Bye, and more.

People bought tickets and went out for a bunch of laps with the Pros (or me) and had a hoot. Scott Goodyear was driving a Lambo, EFR was in a Porsche 944 (NA) and I was mixing it up with them (Lambo was fast period, EFR was fast in the corners but I had WAY more HP so I left him in the straights)

There was the Scott Goodyear/Mackenzie car and a Midland F1 car there and you get pictures and ask questions, and actually touch them - no velvet ropes.

There was even this yellow NSX that had all this downforce, go-fast stuff on it - I recall seeing disappear in my rearview mirror.

Next year the plan is the same so the second I know the date, book it off work - I'll arrange it so you can have a "hot" lap, (lukewarm lap?) in Dave's NSX too!

The highlight of my students' day was when I took his Z06 on the track and we matched speed and then dived inside on a F 360 at the end of the straight. (150 mph dive in was late breaking and took 8 at 100 mph - I like the HUD)

The highlight of my day was talking cars with EFR and then going out on the track with him.

I remember seeing you dissapear in my rearview a few times also Captain Cool. If using examples on warm up laps make you feel less femanine, enjoy your vagina!

Yes, that was a great great track day, one of the best ever.

I spent half the afternoon instructing in a F430. WHAT A CAR!

Yes, that was because I was pitting to pick up my next ride-a-long passenger!

I know for a fact you've never seen one, so its an obvious mistake for you to be a bit confused:rolleyes:

Seriously, it truly was, I'm glad you were there with us - we'll have lots of little stories to last until next year:smile:

I decided that instructing IS fun, and I'm thinking of following Daria and becoming one - you?

I dont know. I think it can be great, or it can totally suck depending upon your driver.

I would say that it would be frequently terrifying. The F430 driver was good in that he listened to advice on lines and because he went slow as he learned, and the electronics in that car are so good that he would have to really screw up to have an issue. That was fun. He also improved so much from lunch to the end that it was fun to watch him learn a lot too.

easy on the gender stuff:rolleyes:

Sorry, Dave often becomes confused when it comes to gender.

You are living proof that gender is not a determining factor for speed or skill.

Phew.........for a second there I thought you were speaking about me - but then realized I use PINK lipstick!

Hey Rick - are those driving gloves I see????

It is nice to have the Fastest NSX in Canada on side !!

Welcome Omar

Omar - you get an engine in that car or are you just really good at pushing it fast???

J/K

Im gonna start a club too! Take a guess what Im going to call mine.

"2002 Spa supercharged NSX owners with monster downforce in the Beach". I am actively recruiting, but you need a spa yellow NSX from 2002 and it needs big downforce and it needs to be supercharged with Stacy's sideskirts, RA1s on it daily, Cluster rings, and everything else my car has, and you have to live in the Beach (on my street in fact!).

I plan on holding two drives a day, the first will start at my house at 6:30AM and end at my work; the second will start at my work about 6PM and end at my house. I will occasionally hold detailing meets too, in my back lane, so we can all polish our 2002 supercharged spa NSXs in the Beach. We will also have track days. Ive already recruited a "groupie" (my wife) and two fans (my kids) and our official headquarters, which is something that no other NSX Club has, can be at my house. Ive got a big TV for the pleasure of members.

What started out as a thread about a great event is turning into some mud slinging. Nothing new on Prime, but it's getting old.

I'd bet you drove the station wagon with the wood on the side too!

I know this guy who bought a woodie, then his wife told him she sent him to buy VIAGRA, not a car - That is a REAL car enthusiast!

Stu...........you're too young to remember the "woodies".

I don't need to "remember" them I still get them, and not drug induced yet!

Now if I could only figure out what to do with them...

Maybe the guys can give you some good advise on Thursday? But you'd have to bring it with you
