That's it. Get the thing up on a rack with someone you trust to see if it's legit or not. Could've backed into a pole, who knows. A salvage title is pretty serious, but you never know. I'd err on the side of caution in a any salvage deal though. Unless you're looking to rip off the next guy...
You'd be hard pressed to find any post-1980 car that depreciates less than the NSX. Newer ones depreciate like any other newer car of course, straight down like a rock.
Sheesh, I drive an 11 year old Accord, and the only thing that's going to replace it is an NSX. If you have a well built car that you take care of, age doesn't really matter unless you freak out having to replace brake pads and such. I was going to buy a new car a year or so ago, but after lots...
Now that the original is posted, I can see it was a scam. But how was it so obvious before? By starting with a low initial price, you don't have to pay as much to eBay, and for some reason people don't like reserve auctions as much. Plus, as many dealerships do, you can cancel your auction...
I think you should contact yourself, you're very interested in buying it.

Change the description to say automatic. Hardcore NSX people will want to know about the seat bolster.
Re: what do you think about this car?
It looks nice, and has low miles, but of course, you should go check it out personally. Find out about snap ring range, and maybe even bring the checklist from the FAQ. It's automatic though, so make sure you really want that. If it is as nice as it looks...
I don't really expect any real effects of the new model on the price of the used ones. There will be some major hype and renewed interest of course, but at the end of the day, we're still talking about a 15-year old exotic, and the people who are actually going to buy the cars are those who love...
Some crazy guy ajzahn on the supercarforums keeps the stats everyone is quoting all over the internet. Your link gives the same broken link I originally did (postID=10073 from supercars), but your guy changed the hp stats.
Here's the real original post

Here's the sportscar records. It says it was the blue devil that ran the 7:40.

edit:fixed link
But will you say that again in 10 years?
And I'm pretty sure the 7:40 nurburgring time was made by the top secret blue devil Z06, not the production one. Still pretty impressive.
