Two sets of OEM 15/16" wheels for sale. These are very used, street and track. While they are not pretty, they are functional. They could be used as-is for track use or cleaned up/refinished for street use.
I also have many center caps for 15/16" wheels.
$100 per set, OBO.
You pay shipping...
Hallett did not damage your engine. The Bitch is not even a carousel.
You may want to find out what really caused the problem.
Also, in my car, I experienced an "engine cut out" a few times, and I assumed it was due to TCS engaging. It was in a right-left S turn at the top of 3rd gear on a...
+1 on muffler not fitting in the car - ship to the mechanic.
I thought putting on headers was fairly tough and I do more DIY than most around here. I wouldn't start with that project if I was new to DIY.
$350 is a deal. Putting on the muffler (its not an "exhaust") is no extra work when doing...
It could be a stuck caliper perhaps. Check for uneven pad wear and/or extra heat on that caliper/rotor compared to the other side.
It could be a wheel bearing. But, they tend to be more consistent in their symptoms.
Can you try swerving a little while driving and see if that has any effect...
The wheels pictured in this tread are center lock quick-change racing type wheels. I'm not available of a kit for the NSX that converts us to center lock.
At full throttle, the A/C shuts off (I'm fairly certain). That should be most of your lap.
With windows down, it won't make much difference.
I assume the A/C compressor isn't designed to run at 7k rpm, but that is a hunch. I don't know if it would hurt or not.
I've driven tracks in Texas for...
spring rates and tire performance
Would you mind sharing more info about how spring rates affect tire performance? And, how one tire may work better with stiffer springs than another? I would not have guessed that's the case and am eager to know more.
As far as I can tell, we can take Avon Tech-RA off the list. Tire Rack had them on close-out for a long time and now are completely out. I did not find any other retailer of Avon Tech-RA tires.
Rest easy. You drive your car so infrequently - and aparently in light use conditions - that you'll never be able to tell the difference between oil types or frequency of changes.
Once a year, and plain old dino oil is more than sufficient for your use of the vehicle.
Re: Spy Shots: First images of 2011 Acura NSX
Looks like a 350Z front and mid-section with a BMW-like rear/trunk/hatch.
Surely it is front engine.
Not exotic. Not an NSX.
What he said, re: Spec Miata.
Spec - in racing class terms just means that all the cars are the same (all the components are "specified".) Note he said Bilstein shock, not "aftermarket shock". Similarly, the engines are "stock" (very few mods allowed) and this helps to keept he costs down, cars...
There is a time and place for everything. In crowded city driving, hypermilers could really be causing more traffic congestion, frustration and delays. At least the "instructor" was curteous, which is always needed on crowded roads.
Out on the uncrowded freeway, hypermile to your heart's...
Re: PROSPEED Hi-Flow Catalytic Converters!
I'd be very interested in a comparion between these new cats and my "17 year old clogged" ones.
On dyno pulls, my engine pulls numbers that makes me think it hasn't lost any power from new. I'd be interested if there was clogging and power loss due to...
