    Where were you during 9/11

I was onboard a fast attack submarine in Norfolk, VA. When we realized it was serious, started giving direction to my department to get things ready to get underway. Then realized I was the senior officer on board. Things got a whole lot more hectic after that...

    Whats your yearly mileage?

~12,000 miles per year the one year I had it in the South. ~5,000 miles per year in the North over the last 2 safe driving periods. -Dave '04 Rio Yellow / Onyx

    Oil pan?????

The OP asked about the "oil pan". However, a response indicated a part number that was the same for the Legend and NSX, but then said the oil pan "gasket" should be 100% okay. Is the part # quoted for the pan or the gasket? (Just trying to clarify the discussion, I have neither an old Legend...

    Engagement...input needed

I purchased the latest diamond at www.bluenile.com and was very happy with the service and the diamond / ring. It was a 1.01 carat, princess cut, D color (as it was set in platinum, otherwise agree with the lower color grades already mentioned.) I looked specificially for one with the perfect...

    Anyone seen this NSX Before?

Same as this one, I assume: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133178&highlight=lambo

    Military NSX owners

I bought mine while still in the Navy, worked out fine - same as any other car to get to work  Financed it, bought from a dealer. As far as concerns for purchasing one, look around Prime or at the Wiki, just about every question has been asked and answered about buying an NSX. -Dave...

How many miles on your 02 thru 05 NSX

17,800 on my '04. Used to put ~1000 miles a month on it in the Southeast. (I've had it for 2 years, started at 2,800 miles) Now, I have to wait for the snow to melt... Distance is never a consideration for whether to drive it or not.

    NSX Lanyards

The picture seems to show the sample lanyard is NOT the break-away style? I have to have that feature due to lots of rotating machinery at work... Just a thought if that's an available option...

Working Out The "New Car" Kinks: Some Questions

The supposed dangers of skip shifting are discussed in this thread if you hadn't found it already: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126706

    Bird Feathers...

Guess this might should be in the detailing section...but any tips on how to get bird feathers out of the A/C condenser (I think that's what is in that duct...)?? Or any other entertaining "My NSX ate a..." stories...?? Road trip to Chicago this weekend and on the interstate saw something...

    First ticket in the NSX

Yah, that's a bummer. I picked up my second one three weeks ago - 70 in a 55. She only wrote 70, though I was clocked at 77 (down from the 90+ a few hundred yards earlier...) because when she asked how fast I though I was going I didn't lie and said, "hm, probably 75 or so..." Gotta pay if...

    U2 Concert?

fwiw, everything worked out fine. I bought pre-paid parking in the Waldron Deck, the deck itself had a pretty empty section on the first level. To be safe, I parked next to a 911 Turbo  He left before we did, but no one had even parked on the other side. Then, while waiting in line to...

    Minneapolis-When to put NSX Away

Having survived my first winter in Wisconsin, I'd say you're fine as long as the roads are clear / dry of snow. OEM tires do *not* do well at all on the left over hard packed stuff that will be around during the real winter months. Trust me. -Dave '04 Rio Yellow / Onyx NA2

    Low Fuel Light Question

I didn't even know it had a low fuel light. I've never been brave enough to go that far below the "E" line, I guess.

    U2 Concert?

That's pretty much what I was looking for, yes. I recognize the inherent danger with "public" parking, but just wanted to check if there was some local info like, "OMG NEVER park at Soldier Field - 37 cars were vandalized / stolen during the last game..." or some such. (Now, if those 37 cars...
