Anyone here on prime wants to modify their stock console to use a double din headunit I now offer this service. I am actually doing three stock console right now and will have pictures of it up real soon. Doing this service for two local NSX guys and another from CA. PM me for price for this service.

Note: you will still be able to use your ashtray after it's done and still keep the factory look .

I still need to paint it. I'm gonna let the prime dry overnight. I will block and wet sand the entire console and get it ready for paint. I will have picture of the finish when I'm done. Stay tune....

Here is a stock console next to a stock modify console. You get the idea of how it will come out. Wanted to post this up before I start painting the modify one to match the flat/satin black color of the customer nav pod. Also after Im done you can also wrap it in which ever color you want. Paint or wrap up to you. One down 2 more to go

Nice and clean indeed. Have you reinforced the cross bar above the ashtray? If I recall, that has been one of the weaker points in such design.

How much would this cost if I send my stock one for you to convert to a double din??

Check your PM!

Thank you! Yes, I've reinforce it. You will most likely run into that problem with those aftermarket console not the stock ones. No need to worry guys.

Quick question. I have a single din aftermarket stereo installed currently, however my console has some cracks on it in some weak spots. Am I able to buy this one (http://www.scienceofspeed.com/produ...s/NSX/ScienceofSpeed/composite_center_console) and have you cut it for the stereo and the ashtray? Is that console even compatible with the ashtray? Is this something that I could have done by any stereo shop locally? How much would you charge? I'm clueless, as you already can tell.

I can cut the dd n/p. Ashtray will not work with the after marker console. I'm sure one of your local stereo shop can do it if they know what they are doing.

You ship me your console I can cut, prep, prime, and paint it any color you want. If you interested PM me!

Nice work! PM me with a price shipped to 10701.

Thanks!

Thanks! You would have to send me your console for me to modify it for you. PM me for a quote.

Up next is this one. Doing the same dd cut out and mold. Well this time another customer wants to also redo and paint the AC trim to match the console in Flat/Satin black.

I just wanted to show off some of Caroline-NSX's work since he cut and wrapped my interior trim pieces and they came out great. Can't believe it's cut by hand  Finally I have my interior nearly finished off and presentable!! Also we installed my custom shift boot since I don't like the Type R one personally (pics for comparison), and I am having trouble choosing the right shift knob to complete the transformation. Still have the Zanardi shift stalk and billet cluster rings to install... and some awesome custom speakers courtesy of Turbo2go.

Here is a picture of a console I did for a local NSX guy (Tony). Just finish installing it back into his NSX. He can still use his ashtray

Looks good Tyler!!

Thanks brandon! just trying to help the prime members out and make some money while i'm at it . you can buy a aftermarket console for $300 cut and paint come out to over $400+ or redo your console for $225-$250 and save money and keep the stock look

Thanks Tyler for doing an awesome job on my car! Good cut-out, fitment, and color. Would definitely recommend anyone who want to have their DDin done!

Before anyone thinks that Tyler's talents stop at stereo installation, here's a list of what Ty's done to my car which will be completed this week. Once done I'll post pictures but meanwhile here are some other things he not only does but does well as I can personally attest too:

Besides my console modifications and installation of my double DIN Alpine stereo/navigation unit (as well as backup camera and XM radio) here's what else he's done:

Installed lower rear valence
Installed KW V3 suspension system
Installed new Techmagnesio wheels/tires
Installed 6000K HID headlight kit
Installed LED lights in interior and trunk
Installed Valentine One rear view mirror support bracket and hard wired it to car electrical system
4-Wheel alignment

I'm also going to get him to swap my driver/passenger seat so the drivers outside bolster will be like new.

As I said, Ty is an incredibly talented guy and his prices are more then fair. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Houston area. Oh yea, you've GOT to see his black '96 NSX to get some idea of how incredible his detailing is. The car truly looks new. Ty truly is amazing. I'm certainly grateful that I met Ty and from now on he's my NSX go-to guy.

Dennis (Slyder)

When I saw you deleted the ash tray I said to myself thats cool but it looks so plain now. I was about to say put some gauges in that area or something. Then all a sudden I see you got that area signed by a legend. Waaaaaaaaaay better idea then I had lol. Well done!
