ALMS ... 2 NSX spun out on the corkscrew.

wow, thanks for this video. i watched the longer 5 min version. i got shivers down my back. :smile:
 
I was the lead car behind the Acura TL Pace Car so I didn't witness the ONE who spun out. Funny how Hrant announced to everyone to not make a fool out of us just prior to the parade lap. The track was dry and at 25-30mph I don't see how anyone can miss the CorkScrew unless Patron Tequila was involved. Anyhow, makes for an interesting dinner conversation that night.
 
This is not the first time I've had a NSX spin out in front of me, but I was not driving this time (was three spots too late to participate in this year's parade lap as a driver). People should know better! :D

I was glad Les was not trailing too closely behind the one that spun. We had plenty of room to slow down before the Corkscrew really began to drop. As far as I know, only one NSX spun during the parade lap.

Those pics aren't of my car, but I do have more pics of the "VIP NSX" and will post them shortly. His white NSX is the Mirrorverse counterpart of my nearly stock red one...from some angles, it is hard to identify it as a NSX!

What a big tease! Yes we're moving shit, i have to slow down. I'm sure some got the adrenaline pumping when they where able to floor it for about 2-3 seconds and have to come to a major slow down. aaaahhhhh! Gosh that looks like a lot of fun. I wish i was there. thanks for the video, i was waiting for something to look at.
 
I'm glad to see this thread take on a more relaxed attitude. I know the guy who spun out; had drinks w/ him later at the Patron tent and he had a great attitude about it.

Stuff happens. If you were there, you know whats what. If you weren't oh well; quit being such drama hounds. :wink:
 
next year. im bring the nsx and taking the parade lap and spinning out of the corkscrew so i can get you guys some videos.:tongue:

only problem with the nsx is it cant fit 2 coolers, a bbq, 2 sleeping bags, air bed, a suit case, lots of beer, 3 folding chairs, 1 tent, 1 generator, 1 tv, game cube & 4 controlers.... i know im missing other stuff.
