back right axle is bad...

hmmm...my mechanic just told me my back right axle is bad...its been making a grinding noise when i accelerate hard in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear...but i swear it sounds like its coming from the front.

I'm taking my car over to Mike at MCA to have him diagnose it, but does anyone here know what a new axle would cost? or a rebuilt one?

just did a search...shoulda done that first..my bad.

read a good write up by Ken. Hopefully its just the CV Joints and not the whole axle.

Has anyone seen if Raxles will rebuild NSX axles? They are a damn good company that does great rebuilds. They rebuild the inner joint, and replace the outer joint, all for $100 - $150. I've run them in a number of cars and always been pleased. If interested, call and talk to Marty - he runs the place. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable.
