Is this normal? (I have a white NSX so it's more visible) Everytime I drive it, I have to wipe this very fine layer of soot off the rear bumper. It's like a very dry powder and comes right off with a microfiber towel. Not a big deal, but hard to keep my a**-end clean

I have a 2018 Casino White Pearl and find the same exact thing. Black fine dust on the rear and and around the rear vents. Not nearly as bad as my prior NA1 Black car though.
The accumulation of dust in the rear bumper is normal for a properly designed vehicle. Properly designed vehicles have zero or negative lift in the rear end, as such there is a low pressure zone that forms behind the rear end of the vehicle.

Blame the golf clubs. Late in the design phase, the Acura marketing people came in and demanded that the trunk hold two golf club bags. This apparently was "critical" for the American customer they were targeting in their brand strategy.
So, they extended the rear of the car about 6 inches, which placed the rear bumper ledge directly in the airflow vortex. Now, we all get to wipe down the bumper after every drive.
The Honda "typical" NSX customer was a wealthy European man who used the car for grand touring between his homes on the continent. So, to be an "everyday" supercar, the trunk only needed to hold the weekend bags for that man and his mistress.

Any recommendations on the best way to do a quick clean of the bumper? I was using a quick detailer, but it makes a wet/black mess (and uses up a couple MF towels). Thinking of pouring some water over the bumber first, then going over with a quick detailer second.
Thanks! I wasn't sure as I've heard mixed reviews about them (i.e. scratching paint). I do have PPF on my bumper though so maybe it's a moot point?

This was LarryB's preferred method for the bumper. Mine was the aforementioned microfiber and quick detailer. I didn't have any issues with residue/streaking etc. using the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer.

Much better than micro fiber cloths.Got my California Duster and Mini Duster today...holy crap!! Literally 5 seconds and the bumper is clean! Thank you for the recommendation!
