Yes they are the front of the rail. They are crimp down with a vice grip. Hard to see with all the lube but they are pushed down. Thats the only wy that work for me.

Kicking this thread back up, as I am looking for seat mount solutions for my Type-S wannabe seats. The width between the outside of the seat brackets that come with the seats is 430mm. Can the Buddy Club rails accommodate this width? I think it's the same as Recaro ABE.
I know it's too late for a reply, but I think YES, the buddy Club rails should be ok for 430mm width seats. Got a friend using them with ABE seats. And I should be able to confirm this (I really hope so) sooner or later when I receive my own buddy club rails.
