C5 vs. NSX 0-150

If both cars were 02 models, 6 speed manuals. The corvette a Hardtop and the NSX-T, which car would win 0-150?

Also from say a 45mph roll to 160, what car would win?

Basically, which car has better topend?

From memory, the NSX will beat a C5 to 150 MPH because the corvette has very tall gearing in 5th. 6th gear on a corvette is strictly for cruising, so the vette acheives top speed in 5th. The NSX is geared to be at max speed in 6th.

That being said, the different is marginal. Both cars are around 35 seconds to 150.

The C6 was just clocked at 29 seconds in the new Road and Track.

Hah... I thought you meant a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy

As far as vettes go, *shrug*... If you're looking for fast 0-150 speed, maybe check out a used viper?

Personally, I'd rather be in a '91 NSX at 150 than a 2005 vette.
