Clutch...going bad?

I had a new clutch put in 20,000 miles ago....it is getting very loose and hard to get in gear sometimes @ a complete stop even when pushing it all the way to the floor.

Is it possible the clutch is going bad already or could it be something else?

tip: brake fluid doesn't evaporate...it has to go somewhere.

The clutch master WILL drip into the car and destroy the interior of the car AND make a nice gooey mess of your carpet.

make sure you check it

I just went through this. You shouldn't lose fluid unless something is starting to go. After refilling the clutch master cylinder reservoir a couple times, and finding out that the master cylinder can go out without much warning, I had both the master & slave cylinders replaced.

Cost about $450.00 including both parts and labor.

clutch fluid was VERY low....going to fill it and see if that fixes it. Thanks!

Refilling it will fix it temporarily, but it is not a fix. You need to have the master/slave replaced.

This is a cronic failure, most folks do not maintain this system and the fluid gets dirty, then they leak:(. You should replace the clutch fluid every two years like the brake fluid:).
