Hello all,

I've been meaning to create this for some time but just haven't had much time to sit down and actually do it. After perusing through some of the other awesome threads, I figured I should do this to document work done moving forward.

Here is my 1993 GPW. I purchased it from a local owner here in the PNW and he barely drove it. Maybe 25 miles in the last 5 years. It is currently equipped with a 1.7L Autorotor CTSC.

I've always appreciated 90s/early 00s style for the NSX so that's the vision for this car.
Enjoy a few pictures of when I got it and a couple mods on my end. When I have more time, I'll jot down some more plans for the car along with some things in progress.

welcome..I see some spoon influence
what suspension currently?
why only 25 miles in 5 years...

Hey Doc!

1. There is some Spoon influence, but I'm more of an Advance guy. 😉
2. Current suspension is KW V3 + Swift springs + Stance Air cups all around.
3. Previous owner was pretty busy and also had a S2000 that he drove more often since the NSX was on top of the bendpak.

Some history on the car + current mods.

So since I'm home sick for the day, I have some to time jot down some things that were completed in the last few months.

  1. Addition of the Grey Market rear tower bar.
  2. I didn't get a picture of but also installed the Davis Design Fab Coil Guard kit
  3. The engine glass shocks were tired so installed some new OEM replacements.
  4. Completed a fluid replacement. The brake and clutch fluids probably haven't been serviced in 5+ years. New transmission fluid and engine oil done at the same time while the car was in the air.
  5. Bled all 4 calipers and installed speed bleeders for easier servicing in the future.
  6. My RR air cup had an issue with the connector breaking loose. I was able to temporary put in back into place. I have ordered replacement parts but need to remove the suspension to get to the air cup. Planning to do that in the next couple months.
  7. Installed the Taitec GT500 CF wing for a little while. It's a good look but maybe a little too "loud". Still undecided about it.
  8. My 2nd setup of wheels are one of my all time favorites: Advan RG. These are 17x7.5 +29, 18x9.5 +22 redone in silver on Advan AD08R. This goes well with my Advan steering wheel from the 90s + Advan Race seat (for another post).
  9. SE37K as the 3rd set. 17x8.5 +45, 18x10.5 +38 on Advan AD08R. Do I need this many sets? Absolutely not. But I like to switch it up every now and then.
  10. I did not like the way my shifter was feeling. It had the CRF short shifter installed. While I was in there, I replaced all of the worn out parts in the shifter. New Type S shifter stalk + refresh bushings and components + 02R shift boot + a little ARC shift plate because I'm being extra. Shout out to @RYU for the part numbers.
  11. Removed the NSX-R hub and replaced with the Works Bell hub + Works Bell Tilt. Looks like the car had the MITA kit to make the NSX-R hub work correctly.
  12. Advance GT Titanium exhaust has been on the sidelines for a while. I will be pairing it up with SARD cats. Absolutely can't stand the fumes from the current test pipes.

Had a cancellation in my day so here we are.

  • Other day I noticed my rear center speaker not working and did some research. Seems like the foot well sub amp is the issue so I'm waiting on a new refurbished part from Brian K.
  • Will need to remove my door panels again and remove the leather pieces to send off to Chris Lum for the alcantara mod.
One mod I did recently was to clean up my air cup button. Previously it was just a small switch hidden in the center console. It was somewhat cumbersome to get to when I needed to raise the car. So after doing some research, I made some purchases and installed the JDM switch panel and utilized the Acura CL/TL (2nd gen) heated seat switch as my new air cup switch. Had to figure out the wiring so when I pressed "High", the car would raise.
