Has anyone fitted an electric power steering unit, such as the EZ model, to an early NSX? If so, what were the results?

Not to an NSX; but, I have fitted a column mount EPS unit to a vintage Volvo. My particular EPS column mount came from a pranged Nissan Versa; but, it is dimensionally similar to the EZ steer units.
My short take on this is that there is an ice cube's chance in hell of it fitting. There is no available space under the dash in the area around the steering column to squeeze the column mount in there. Have a look at nsxmugen's thread on installing an S2000 EPS unit in the NSX as a viable option if you don't want to try and find a salvaged NSX EPS unit.
