well, I want a GT1 5.1, cant find one....I like the GT Extreme look, but never seen it on a car, nor have i heard it....i just bought and resold a brand new GTLW before hearing the GT1....do I just rebuy a GTLW?

I am confused, i really want an exhaust by summer time :(

i just put a gtlw on my 05 and couldn't be happier.

I have an arc titanium on my other nsx and i really like the gtlw. i have also seen and heard the gt rom 5.1. too me (my personal opnion) the gt 5.1 is all about the crazy look.. but you pay a 10lb weight penalty (18lb vers 28lb)for that look (unless you go ti). The sound difference between the two is personal preference, I like the gtlw better, but others like the higher pitched gt rom 5.1. you should get a ride in a car with a taitec and gt rom. I drove an 04 with taitec and had to have one.

While I've never heard the Tubi exhaust, I've heard excellent comments on it's quality and sound. The GTLW is a great exhaust and even if you up and buy another until you find a GT-One, they seem to resale pretty quick. Here's a Tubi FShttp://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103659&highlight=tubi You could always bug Henry until he caves and sells you his or puts you on his "ignore list" which ever comes first.

HAHAHAHA I thought you were staying stock! Welcome to the dark side... feel your desire to mod... give into it...

haha, exhaust is the ONLY mod I would do....did it on my '02, doing it on this one too ;)

Thanks Jack. Starting to like it more. Some droning and the metal dust is annoying but still breaking it in.

Have you heard a 5.1 in person? The sound clips vary depending on recording device etc.

Best complament I got from it was that it made their dashboard rattle when they were behind me on the highway lol

We hate u.

now sell me your exhaust

I would just go with GTLW for the time being, especially if you are going to keep it NA. It is a very high quality exhaust, you basicly will get to enjoy it almost for free if you ever decide to sell.

I really enjoyed my GTLW when my NSX was NA. I complained about the GTLW exhaust note years ago after SC, due the the change of exhaust note. Alasnsx has a better back to back comparison video.

The pitch are quite different between the two. The supercharger whine is also significantly less noticeable with GTone V5.1 as you can tell. To me it is a pleasant surprise that they actually compliment each other and made the SC whine significantly less annoying.

Some flyby comparision (GTLW):

Not a flyby, not my camera ( GTone V5.1):

There are quite a few other exhaust offerings in Japan other than GTone exhausts.

Other alternatives from Route KS:

it wouldn't even fit your nsx with the cats and the quad tips wont fit your rear valence

It does fit.. a little tight.. but both jason and myself are running quads with the 02 valence..

Jason, valence has been resprayed and I'm hoping to get a few clips of my car this weekend.. you going to be around?

Chad, I think I might be available.

Are you interested being in a NSX video? It is going to be filmed by professional. It will be amazingly pretty. I can only select a couple NSXes to be in the video. I will send you a sample clip on your facebook.

Only catch is that if you are comitted to the video. You will have to deliver and be at the shoot on time.

LOL just rip a CD with your fav. GTone exhaust tone and play it back on your stereo on REPEAT! Cheapest mod in my opinion...haha

I've had a lot of exhausts in the countless cars I've owned and have tried just about every brand and even had a few custom made ones for my Eclipse and Audi S4. It's a fine line to pick something you can live with on a daily basis and one that just turns heads.

Greddy and Blize Nur-Spec systems were used on my Eclipse and GS400 back in college and they really have a nice deep tone with literally no drone. The custom exhaust in my s4 was near 100% perfect with a throaty WOT response, "burbles" on downshifts and quiet on highways.

I have to admit the exhaust in my m3 sounds awesome but would never use it on long trips or subject my backseat passengers to it since it's REALLY loud out back.

The GTone in my NSX sounds absolutely perfect since it's throaty and makes it's presence felt on throttle but once cruising, I can easily use my Bluetooth earpiece if I wanted. This is not possible in my s2000 top up or down running the Comptech exhaust. Maybe I'm getting a bit older but I prefer a soft tone these days over loud mufflers that just make noise.
