Have and NSX owners previously owned a Ferrari 355?

There is a really clean Ferrari 355 selling in my area. I have never test driven one, but I hear that it is a blast to drive. Anyone have any experience with 355s? Any opinions (other than maintenance costs . . . i know, it costs an arm and a leg)?

95's seem to be the choice of enthusiast probably what I would like to own. OBD1 more horsepower(5-10), less emissions control stuff, 20% valve failure rate ($12K preventative fix) compared to 80% on the later cars including early 99 models.

I think it is mostly the other way around...people selling their NSX for the F355. The gentleman I bought my car from did...he loves the F355. I think it is a '95 also.

I'm here... Just sold my 95 F355 before I got into the NSX world... both cars are different... Both cars are lookers... No NSX can come close to the sound of the F355... Maintenance wise, F355 is obviously higher... Powerwise, F355 hands down unless you have a SC on your NSX...

They are different cars.. Just a matter of what you want to do.

i have both. A 95 355 which has been pretty reliable for the last 8 years. :smile: As mentioned above the sound of the 355 in WOT and downshifting is music to anyones ears.

+1, even stock exhaust on the 355 is a beautiful sound, with aftermarket........even better. I still think that it's one of the best sounds of any F-car, old or new!!!

+1 on the sound. Even the 360's sound good. 430 seems to sound completely different to me.

I have a Tubi on my 360 and the sound is amazing. I love to WOT the car with the top down. :biggrin: I am taking it for a short drive tomorrow and really looking forward to it.

I don't particularly like the Stock Exhaust sound on the 360, but plenty of aftermarket exhaust sound awesome on that car, in fact, all Ferraris.

NSX with aftermarket exhaust is pertty darn good!!!

This NSX with Fujitsubo Exhaust has a similar sound to stock 360 system, but lounder.
