How do you change shift knobs?

I've just bought a new OEM shift knob, and I'm having trouble installing it. I've try twisting the shift knob but the boot twists also. How do you guys do it?

If you grab the boot close to the top of the neck you will feel something inside just hold firm on that and pull down and the boot will come apart from the shift knob as there are two clips that hold in on the knob. Then you can twist the knob off.
