I just picked up a Ferrari 360

the f360 are my favorite entry level ferrari. great find, and congrats on the car. i wish i could afford to own one.

I might be interested in the 348 but mileage, color, and the price matters. PM me with some info about the car and Illl let you know.(Pictures would also be great)

Great choice i got both a 360 and a Murcielago, believe it or not the Ferrari rides way better then the Lambo IMO. Enjoy! I got a nice set of deep dish 5 spoke wheels for the 360 cheap! let me know if interested.

I was thinking about the R8 being my next car, but if a Ferrari 360 is reliable enough, that would be a really nice choice.
I'm curious what issues you run into with it, if any.
Where do you get it serviced? Do you take it to a Ferrari dealer or no?

I have a friend that has owned a few 360's that lives close to the dealership so he went by and checked it out for me. I am picking up the car so I gave him a deposit, if I find something I don't like, I don't have to buy it although it got a clean bill of health from my friend.

It has a Tubi exhaust on it, I am not sure if I will mod it or not, I will def get a decent stereo put in next week.

I will update on the reliability of the car, it is a 700 mile trip home so hopefully it is good.

Congrats Rob. I have been toying with the idea of getting a F360 or F430 to replace the NSX(I know sacrilege).

I much prefer the manual to the F1 on any these cars(360, 430 or Gallardo). The up side is more driver involvement and long clutch life.

Congratulations!!

You should check out the 360 daily driver thread on Ferrarichat, there are many high mileage members with 360s with NSX type of miles. One of my close friend daily drove his since 2003, beat the shit out of it and it has been bullet proof. Another cool thing about 360 is that there are good amount of after market parts available for modding.

It should be quite a significant upgrade over none FI NSX, I know a lot of NSX owners who had moved on, they all still love NSX, but few actually came back once they move onto something 360 or above. There is probably good reason for that.

Tested in motorweek, 0~60mph in 4.1sec, 1/4 in 12.5sec @ 115mph for a heavier convertible version. If you ask me, I would definitely say it is not too shabby at all, I can live with that, lol

Yeah people call 360 dog slow, but depending on what you compare it to:
Can the NSX-R keep up? Warning, don't click if you got a big ego

Are you serious about the $500 per year? How much do you pay for the NSX?

I heard that most of the insurance companies would not cover exotic cars. Which insurance companies are good for exotics?

I've never heard of any insurance company declining "exotic" cars.

I pay about $900/yr for full coverage on my NSX and I'm told it's in the same class as any aluminum Ferrari. Just as expensive to fix. NSX has always been one of the most expensive cars to insure for this reason and was more expensive than the 348 for this reason (Al).

I'm not surprised by Steve's $500 quote. With more years and less tickets I'd probably be closer to that number myself.

Yep, you need to be old and weary before you'll get low rates. It's really that simple. When I was young I paid 5,000.00 a year for a crappy Porsche 924 and for good reason. I got my license and then got about a ticket a month until my license was suspended. I deserved it too. Now, it's been many years since I have raced around the roads or done multiple donuts in a parking lot until there is a huge smoke cloud. Yeah I think I have earned 500 bucks a year for insurance :D

edit, truth is...if I had a Ferrari at 21 I would have killed myself in it. Lucky for me I couldn't afford one then.

Very nice, congratulations!

Keep us posted as this is a car that I would love to own down the road...waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the road...

I don't think how much a car costs to repair is a big component of how much it costs to insure.

Much more important is how well it protects the occupants, how often typical owners of the car get into injury accidents, and where you live/garage the car.
