For those of you that might be interested and be up in this direction over the next 6 months, my resto-mod 1972 BMW 2002 (M2) will be in the Saratoga Auto Museum in Saratoga Springs, NY until May 2014. Here's a link to a thread on another Forum with the details: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/147612-02-in-museum/

Wow, that is nice! Brings back memories of a burgundy '71 Tii that pegged my fun meter every time I drove it.

Wow, congrats! Nice build and a good way to winter store your baby.

Nice collection of BMWs! Wished I had the funds or the space to expand my collection.

I'm no fan of Bavarian Manure Wagons either. They're all grotesque shitboxes. :)

Sorry my post and the link to my car (BMW) offended you. Next time I'll check with you before I post in this section, just to be sure it meets with your approval... asshole.

Car looks amazing!! Love classic BMW's and please ignore Hugh. He isn't a fan of German cars.

Gorgeous…love the color and the mods. First learned to drive a stick in 2002 in this color.

How long have you had it? Would love to read a build thread about it.

You're very welcome. The car is gorgeous and the amount of craftsmanship into it is admirable. I wish my family had kept their 2002s.

My dad had one and put a 302 into it, blew it up, and sold it. I hadn't really considered owning one until recently. It's amazing how much you return to the cars you have emotional ties to. I'm supposing that you have a similar story?

Your post reminded me of this:

That car is simply amazing, a work of art! Congrats! Wonder what your E30 M is worth now? You lucky dog!
