My name is Rob Ferretti, I make car videos and I just bought an NSX.

Welcome - the nsx grows on you - it takes a while to learn that everything about the car is well done [ and that it doesn't break].

Great video - welcome to the hood, I am between Tappan, NY and Englewood and often get food at mimisplate in tappan.

I saw you on closter Dock road Sunday I believe.

Been on prime since, 02 just been dormant until my interest got sparked in the car again. Drove it today again, its fun, but really slow at the moment. I don't intend on changing that aspect of the car, will likely remove the tints and raise it up a bit to make a better ride height. Would also like to switch to the 17/18 stock wheels from the 18/19s its currently running.

Thanks for the welcome, will be in Denver on the 24th staying at the Sonnelap for the night in Vail. Will be then heading out to Arches National Park then Park city UT for the night of the 25th. Returning from Mt Rushmore back to Denver on the afternoon of the 28th.

we love vail in all 4 seasons..but I think you meant the sonnenalp:smile:

whats going on in vail ?

doc nothing specific, just one of the towns we will be visiting along a scenic drive/tour

sounds like fun,is it a organized club or group thing or just a bunch of car nut friends getting together.

Rob:
Though I often drive on Closterdock, it is more likely that you actually saw Passline in his 2005 Silver on Sunday.
He lives near there, plus he came by my place Sunday morning [so he was on the loose].

Here is how to tell us apart:

1) He is all silver,
2) Mine has an all black nose due to excessive plasti-dip.
3) From a distance, he kinda looks like Einstein in a hat.

"So, I figured, what the hell? I'll go buy one, and see what it's like."

Haha! I wish I could say this.

Awesome car. Welcome!

Lucas

Subscribed for updates. Always enjoy reading candid owner impressions, especially from those who've sampled a wide variety of similar cars & more extreme cars. (Anyone else miss posts from this guy?)

Perhaps that's the first time I've ever read about someone wanting do go more "mainstream" in 4 ways at once in a single Prime post. Remove tint, go to smaller wheels, go with less-baller wheels at that, and raise the ride height. I love it!

Rob, are you able to share some of your patented "special words" for use when invited to the side of the highway for an impromptu conference, or is that kind of stuff available from you online elsewhere?

If it was a race car I'm ok with the rough ride, but same reason I am not a fan of the Viper ACR the ride sucks over bumps when you lower the NSX. The only people who likely notice its lowered vs stock are other NSX owners, so who are you trying to impress? :)

You can watch the sting of Best Cop Moments. Will keep you entertained for an hour or so.

Reminds me of my pics while on Bullrun also... Hope they are nicer out west later this month...

The antennas have a fair amount of "gangster lean" at speed.

My car isn't white so I don't think I'm welcome there...

Damn, Rob's annual ticket budget is probably 10x my annual car maintenance budget. I was scared to see what my insurance would be like after getting 3 tickets within 6 months. I can't imagine getting a bunch of tickets every 5 minutes. LOL

I must say, that video was mildly entertaining..

Found out front and rears are mismatched. Rears were also directional and on the wrong sides. Ordered up a matching rear set. Also discovered the front PS rim had a back barrel bend which wasn't noticeable at below 120 but I sent it out to be repaired today anyway. Been kicking around the best way to raise the car up and am going to take it in stages. Right now its way too low for me with the 18/19 wheel set up, bilsteins and H&R springs. Going to move the bilsteins to the higher perch setting and see what the 7/8 inch gets me as far as ride quality. If that doesn't do it, i'll look to the tein springs to bring it up an additional half inch. If that doesn't work stock diameter wheels and tires. That should do it. Car is leaving for Denver end of the week, so gotta get the tint off and prep it to navigate the marijuana smoke clouds in Colorado.

Why not put the Zanardi spec OEM springs or Swift springs on it instead of the Tein?
