2015 updates

I'm loving my 'new' NSX ....

I say new as it has been through the skilled hands of Kaz for his refresh service and a few extras ...

Engine out for a top end refresh, new belts, cooling hoses and later LMA, as well as clutch hoses, the engine pulls smoothly and strongly with really good compression results.

Chassis wise I've had the tired OEM struts replaced with Bilsteins, retaining the OEM springs and set on the lower perch to give the car a lower stance and together with Geoffs compliance clamps a sharper handling car. I already have Type R front ARB and chassis bars, linked with a Type S rear ARB.

Inside I have completed the time consuming thread mod using silver thread to tie into to my retrimmed S2K VGS wheel. These changes are further complemented by the addition of DFR seats on bespoke mounts.

A few smaller jobs to replace various tired trim clips and a refresh of the CCU board result in the cabin being a really nice place to be.

So with all the above work complete, bodywork finished off to lose may years of rock chips and I have the pleasure of my very own 'new' NSX.

Regards, Paul

Its been a while since offering updates on my NSX-T ...

Quick summary ...

- stock 98 NSX-T in Europe only Magnum Grey Pearl
- Black interior
- Added 02 alloys plus DFR spoiler and set about adding miles all over Europe
- Decided I liked the CF finish against Magnum and that kicked off the addition of many parts
- To compliment the exterior mods and retain the aero balance I added the DF NSX-R chassis aero parts
- 2009 - Had some fun and wrapped white/black with Einkei 5 spokes to create the only NSX-RT :)
- 2014 - a lot longer than expected, and finally the wrap is off and the NSX fully detailed and back in all its Magnum Grey glory!!
- Refinished the OEM 17s (as many were now running the Washi Grey look) in shadow chrome, making them unique again and look larger
- A surprise call from Ben and I soon had a set of DF seats on order in black leather with silver detail stitching ... it also meant I had a busy winter ahead to prepare the interior with the (very) time consuming over stitching to the OEM dash and doorcards ...
- Patience is your friend when seeking parts for the NSX ... next find was an S2K VGS flat bottomed steering wheel
- Entrusted the NSX to Kaz for his refresh programme and whilst with him opted to replace the 16yr old struts with Bilsteins dropped onto the lower perch with OEM springs, plus installed the 15/25 spacer combo
- 2018 - decided I missed the carbon and more aggressive looked when spoilered so set about refreshing all the CF, and to bring the visual look up to date
- 2019 - 1 performance upgrade Ive wanted to do for a long time, Stoptech; with a minor badging mod :)
- Start the reinstall of CF parts ... with more being prepared ...

Hopefully some recent photos to bring the thread up to date ...

Long time ago that I saw your car.
Very nice.

What happened with the DF spoiler?
Are these 2 different cf pieces at the middle part?

The Procar NA1 hood looks really perfect into that nice car colour, like it more than the pure carbon look.

Hi Detlef,

The visit to your place after the ‘Ring was expensive as you have far too many nice parts I felt the need to subsequently order ;)

Its still the same spoiler, however I have been updating all the parts and relaying with the V-style carbon from more modern machinery ... as always, looking to be a little different yet retain the subtleness of the carbon agains the Magnum ...

Your hood is still A1 fitment, as are many other parts ...

Thanks Paul.
I remember that you got the 1th unit of the cf trangle brace.
What happened with the wheels?
Wasnt it (gun)gray metallic before?

I like the way your hood looks.
At darker colours, exposed bigger cf parts doesnt match with the car.
