...with a CF and Type R influence

After several months I am posting some update photo's for my '98 Magnum Grey Pearl NSX-T

Initial thread is here http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73052 showing my NSX as it was. Thread includes details of the brake refurb and guage cluster upgrade.

Having enjoyed my NSX for many miles, I decided to fine tune and update the look and style. S2 NSX now has the following modifications;

H&S stainless quad-pipe exhaust
Procar CF intake system / CF fender scoops
Procar CF radiator brackets
Procar CF alternator cover
Dali CF brake cooling deflectors + Dali braided hoses (Thanx Mark)
Project Mu pads (Thanx Mark)
HID headlamp upgrade and sidelights
Smoked side repeaters
Upgraded Alpine / Genesis ICE
02 rear valance
02 side sills (Thanx Ben)
NSX-R Downforce replica rear spoiler
NSX-R Procar CF bonnet
NSX-R Procar CF diffusor
NSX-R Procar CF mirrors (Thanx Detlef for all of the above)
NSX-R OEM rotors (Thanx Dirk)
NSX-R 02+ rear lights (Thanx Dirk)
NSX-R guage set (Thanx Vance)
NSX-R titanium gear knob & bootie (Thanx RJ)
NSX-R 02+ 17" Alloys in JDM option gunmetal with Goodyear F1
NSX-R front anti-roll bar & chassis bars

When I started on the path to upgrade the visual look, I was not out to build an R replica. However, several months on and with the parts installed, the influence is clear to see. Wherever possible I have chosen parts as OEM or replicas of the OEM part.

Next on the list will be to address the aero package with a little help from Ben at DF

Other parts I'm considering are the RWG, lip spoiler and some interior CF upgrades.

When all is complete I'll treat the NSX to a full bodywork and interior detailing once I've detailed the engine bay ... something I'll need to do as soon as RJ is able to deliver an R engine cover

Hope you enjoy the pics....!

regards, Paul

To answer this and the pm's, the color is a Honda Uk color, Pewter Grey NH537. It is as close as I could find to the Type R rim color offered as a JDM NSX-R option.

Thanx for the positive comments!

Regards,

Wow some nice looking girls on a beautiful NSX. Job well done. Only sucks that you could only take one home.

Paul that is one sexy NSX. Frankly I don't blame those girls at all.

Obviously you have never really tried to pile girls in a car....I have put 3 girls of that size in my car before several years ago. It can be done.

Nice one Paul. Looked great last time I saw it! You've really made that colour work for a living.

Cheers,

James.

That colour is amazing.
Sorry that we couldnt realize all your cf parts dreams.
But our next projects are planed.

Looking forward to meet you next year at the NÜRBURGRING, will try to be there with the Procar NSX and the NSX-R race car for some hot laps

Love that picture, because colour combination is perfect

You made it this far without a comment to lower the car. That says volumes about the color choice of the car and rims. This car is VERY tastefully done. Great job!

Nice car, and I love those exhaust tips. It does'nt get any better on the NSX!

Thanx for all the positive feedback, I'm pleased you approve

all it needs is the 02+ front end conversion
I love the pop-ups too much but I'm watching developments of the MikeC cross-over bumper

You've really made that colour work for a living
Thanx James, just need to get you work your magic on the paint

The good driving roads here wouldn't tolerate much of a drop

Nice car, and I love those exhaust tips.
I thought I might loose these with the 02 valance but fortunately they just squeezed in - I think they look even better than before

There's more to come, starting with some detailing and a lot more driving!

regards, Paul

Looking forward to a mini meet soon.

Cheers,

AR

February detailing updates

I've managed to find a few spare hours over recent weeks to make a start on the detailing of my NSX.

First off was the engine bay. This is now ready for the NSX-R engine cover that should be here soon. I'm also going to replace the OEM coolant tank with Dali's new version.

Second area of focus was the front bay. I have now installed the OEM NSX-R duct and rubber trim to the Procar hood.

In addition to cleaning everything, I have replaced many of the Honda bolts with much neater stainless steel button head allen bolts.

Finally, the new Procar cooling panel and rad brackets are installed to give that nice clean look as the hood is opened.

Now to find time to detail the interior and then the exterior. In the meantime, here are a few photos of the work so far.

regards, Paul
