The GT-R? It will be 75-90K from what I have read. Late 2007.

Yuck on both.

First one looks like a cross between a G35 w/body kit and a Chevy Cobalt/Ferrari/Pontiac G6 in the rear.

well if they were going to come out with one the first one will be the better of the two.. just my opinnion..

Why are they not making the nose of the car sharp (wedge-like) like other typical sportscar? This is one reason why I don't like the Nissan GT-R.

The Skyline has always opted for the robust look, which is very acceptable in the Sports Car Category, much like the M3.

I think you are referring to the Exotic look that it lacks.

Let’s face it though, the GT-R was never designed to be an Exotic (no matter how fast it is).

That's no concept...just someones photoshop experiment. The 2nd car is going to be 95% of what the production car will look like. So get used to it.

Spring 2009 for US.
Summer/fall 2008 for Japan.

Everything at this point is conceptual. As for the G35 body, yes that's a G35 body but it's the TEST body for everything else going into the real skyline like drivetrain and motor. The body is supposed to be very different.

That goes against everything I've heard/read. The only thing that hasn't been nailed down is whether they're definitely going to use a 3.6 TT or a V8.
The body is going to look like the '05 concept, except for a few tweaks.

What part of it looks like a Porsche design?

Source? Everything I've read says 70K+

Sorry, typo. I meant $70.

"With much fanfare, the latest GT-R prototype was released at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show. Based upon a Skyline-style coupe, the GT-R will be released to the North American market in 2007. While the full details have not been released, we can be sure the line will follow in the footsteps of previous GT-R models. It will be a pure-bred Japanese performance car.

Technical specifications are still speculation at this point, but some strong assumptions can be made. The car will utilize the ATESSA-ETS all-wheel-drive system along with all the computer-controlled goodies we are used to in the current generation R34 GT-R. That is pretty much a given. The main question seems to revolve around the motor itself.

From what we have heard, the GT-R will be powered by a VQ-Based 3.7 Liter motor, will utilize twin Garrett turbochargers, a front-mount intercooler, and a 7sp sequential grearbox. Estimated HP is expected in the 450 range.

Price for this beast is estimated in the $70k range."

NEW YORK (April 12, 2006) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. President and CEO Carlos Ghosn today announced that the next generation of Nissan’s renowned GT-R performance car will be available in North America and badged as a Nissan model, consistent with its global branding. The GT-R, which was previewed in concept form as the GT-R PROTO, has not previously been offered for sale in North America. The GT-R will debut in production form at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. It is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in Fall 2007, followed by the U.S. and Canada in Spring 2008. More details on the launch of the GT-R will be available at a later date.
