NSX2S2K - S2000 Instrument Cluster Conversion Kit

I volunteer you to make everything for the nsx.....

Haha  Maybe I will! I have been experimenting with composite materials... Have a couple of crazy ideas, as always.

I will be choosing 14b. Auto fuel level and 0 tacho latency (though seems insignificant of a concern). Win win!

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, skill, and effort with the rest of us! Hope to do the same for you someday.

btw.. I'm planning to make the NSX Euro trip next year. Adnan, Bas, and friends have convinced me to at least attempt to plan for it. Perhaps i'll meet you in person.

Good choice! I would recommend going with the 14b for the AP2 for these reasons if you are sending it to me anyways. It is however a "permanent" mod to the S2K cluster electronics so you can't take it out and install in an S2000 afterwards. You could send it to me for undoing the mods though if you end up in this situation.

Thank you. Looking forward to see your own projects

I'd love to participate in a Euro run sometime. I haven't been driving my NSX enough lately as I've been occupied with this project instead. Maybe I'll join.

Thanks for doing this. The kit is by no means hacked together, and the packaging is just wow. I'm in the process of purchasing a AP2 cluster.

Thank you dablackgoku1234, the AP2 is a good choice, it offers a better resolution for the ECT and fuel gauges. I do however fancy that the AP1 tacho spans across the entire cluster face. Contact me when your cluster arrives and we'll take a closer look at your preferred setup.

Best regards,

.you should also start an escort service...................

I'll just place these right here.

If you decide to tackle 95-96 models, I would be in.

Great work!

Good to know! This is in the R&D pipeline but I want to make sure eveything works as expected with the current ones. Thanks!

I have the AEM series 2 linked to my Gauge ART display. Any issues with compatibility?

Also, how does the oil light work? If I loose oil pressure for whatever reason will if just simply light up?

I do not know of any compatibility issues with the AEM series 2 or the Gauge ART display. Unless these units are dependent on any signals that are being relayed via the original NSX gauge cluster there shouldn't be any issues. I'd be interested to test it out later though to make sure.

The oil pressure light lights up when it's connected to ground. This happens when the oil pressure drops below a certain level which causes the oil pressure switch to connect the oil pressure light to ground. This functionality is retained with the S2K cluster.

Absolutely stunning!

Very nice to see new products being offered to the NSX community! And in a very professional and well presented way! Congratulations!

Hope you offer more new products in the future!

Thank you! I have ideas...

I was wondering if the Oil pressure reading is disabled when using this set up?

Yes, as the S2K cluster doesn't have an oil pressure meter. However, the oil pressure warning light works and will light up if the oil pressure drops below the trigger level. My kit has breakout wires ready to be plugged in into an external oil pressure meter if you want to have it.

Best regards,

This is a clean set up. I just shared the link with a few friends. I'd definitely do this soon. Will turbo effect this in any way?

Thanks! That's awesome! I can't see how a turbo setup would affect this or vice versa. Can you think of any situation?

Best regards,

Mine arrived today too. However, I'm away for holiday for 2wks. Johan@SjoebergDP would you be able to post a video of the cluster in action? Maybe what happens when you hit redline or show the speed? I think all of that stuff is pretty cool :).

Super! I'll PM you with more info. I'm sorry but I don't have a video of the cluster in action in my NSX. It's winter time in Sweden and I can't take the car out... However I'm planning on shooting a short video with one cluster hooked up to my testing equipment (I can simulate the NSX/S2K signals on my bench using equipment I've developed myself) and also one doing some garage testing in the car.

When you hit redline with the S2K cluster the red bars starts flashing, quite cool feature. I'm sure there are many videos on Youtube

Sad, my NSX is a 2000, and I already have a spare 03' s2000 cluster

Hi NSX1145, I'm planning on developing a version for your vehicle year as well, it's in the R&D pipeline. I'd like to finish evaluating the product first to make sure everything is up to our standards. Hold on to your cluster for now

Best regards,

I'm impressed by the thought and detail in this product!
AP2 cluster is hard to come by in Australia , but will be interested in AP1 , so keep me posted of your next run of this product.

Thank you OQQO! I guess we have to organize a raid of our S2000 fellows and snatch a couple of instrument clusters  But I would recommend keeping an eye on Ebay and the S2KI forum for starters.

I'm awaiting feedback from the first 3 customers before I release any more kits, and I'll be releasing them in this thread.

Best regards,
