NSX Body Shop Experts, what are your thought on this? This bumper has my correct VIN tag on it so I suspect it was the original unless someone transferred the tag. Surprise for me! NOTE: I didn't title or spruce up the video. It a direct up load so not so clean...

Short story from my other tread below, I'm repairing my front bumper. I believe the body shop guy doing the work to be very very good. I'm super pleased with him so far (clearly knows what he's doing).

The fact that someone could peel this pain off in this fashion is not because it was not sanded or prepped correctly at the factory. They will all do this IF you get a crack in the finish and then yank on it as this fellow is. The NSX cover has a thin coating that keeps the finish hard enough for service but flexible at the same time. It is not like the coating on other bumpers. This is not a flaw..

FYI after a plastic part is refinished the coatings can dissolve the evidence of sanding which helps to achieve a mechanical bond of the coating to the panel.

Thanks Joe. I let my guy know. A friend down the street just bought a 2nd NSX. Our paint guy will need to know for the future...
