Hirofumi and other Japan-based NSXPrimers,

During the tour and possibly NSX Fiesta itself, will there be opportunities for us to purchase NSX parts to bring home with us? I'm talking about aftermarket parts as well as OEM Honda NSX-R parts.

I don't know if we will find a deal with the current exchange rates, but I would love for the opportunity to pick up some rare parts/toys for the NSX and Honda in general.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I think it is hard because Honda dealer has no stock of parts for NSX, 20 years passed. Although many NSX lovers still drive their NSXs, the market potential for NSX is very small comparing other automobile for business.

I plan to take you to some shops including Mugen or Honda HQ Showroom. You can buy wears, goods and toys.
Unfortunately now exchange rate is bad for you.

Hirofumi

Dear Conrad and Bram

As Hirofumi-san mentioned some Honda factory parts are hard to find, but it depends what you are looking for.

If you supply me with part numbers I can see if they are available through the NSX Tuning shop I use and I can advise of Yen cost.

I will be attending the Fiesta, so happy to bring anything [of reasonable size] with me :) - otherwise I'll ship it to your Hotel.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for big help.

I think even with the not-so-great exchange rate, I'd still love to find some cool Honda and Mugen clothes/shirts/jackets/crew shirts/etc. that I'd never find in the States.

Thanks!

If you guys want to buy NSX parts from japan, let me know, I can connect you with my guy and you guys can work something out. At least you can save shipping, which is quite substantial.

Anyone have any ideas on second hand/parting out/dismantling parts vendors for NSX bits. I plan to visit Macs and Auto bacs at Shinonome for a general look around but wondering if there is a NSX specialist in second hand or new parts in the Tokyo area.

Getting closer to the trip!!

Thanks for the reply Hirofumi,

Good information regarding MACs, you saved me the trip!

I will be in Tokyo a few days early so might head to Super Autobacs, Shinonome before the big event anyway.

Really looking forward to meeting you next Tuesday evening.

Cheers,
Scott

I went there today! Place is big! They had a Legecy wagon on the dyno in the back! Something about Japan and wagons. There are tons of modified wagons! I even saw a Mugen step van the other day!

I'd like to go on the 16th. Can you meet us in the lobby of our hotel? If not, then tell us where to go and what time.

OK, please come to the lobby in Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa at 7pm
on Nov.15(mon) to discuss about activities on next day.

Brandon, can you come on monday night?

Hirofumi

My flight gets in at 3:45 on Monday. I assume with getting our luggage and taking the bus over there, we'll get to the hotel by 6pm at the earliest?
How will I know what you look like Hirofumi?

Oh, where are you taking us to go drinking that night? :)
