Here are my photos from the 2007 Festival of Speed in St. Petersburg, FL. We had absolutely spectacular weather today and there were some truly excellent cars on display! I was so distracted by the fine automobiles that I was unknowingly cooked alive like a lobster (I'm turning quite red now...).

Did you get any pics of the Audi R8? I got home from the show and was admiring the car so much that I totally forget to take some pictures of it.

I agree with a lot of others on this board saying that the styling leaves a little to be desired. But I think Audi is offering a lot of things in this car that NSX owners are looking for in their next exotic car purchase.

I heard they are considering a removable top for 2008 which would fit nicely under the bonnet. That would seal the deal for me.

btw... What was up with that mud colored Carrera GT... ugggggly.

I didn't take too many photos of the R8 this weekend since I took plenty last weekend when it was the Pace Car for the 12 Hours of Sebring.

But... I did take some video of the R8 at the Festival of Speed! I just uploaded them now so they may take a little time to "process" Check back in an hour or so!

Here are some of my pictures from the show. The sun was brutal and easily conquered my poor little digital camera on a lot of the pictures.

Whose green NSX was this? We hung around the car for a while but the owner was elsewhere. I have its younger brother.

This '01 looked great and is for sale. I was trying to get my wife interested in it (for her), but she wants a new kitchen first. Whose car is this?

There were a bunch of chromed out custom choppers there, but this old BSA got my attention. Memories...

A mud colored Carrera GT was mentioned earlier. Here it is. I kept expecting to find an Army recruiter hanging around it.

There's always one that makes you go "WTF".

It seems like every year we see a car on the street outside the show that might have been in the show instead. Here is this year's example.

On our way out, we spotted this beautiful coupe parked on the street. Whose car is this?

The event was actually at Vinoy Park across the street from the Renaissance Vinoy Hotel. In some of my photos you can see The Pier at St. Pete across the water.
