Replacing a Seized/Blown Motor Cost?

Hi,

What is the Total Cost of replacing a blown motor. I am looking into the NA2 motor.
Give me some quotes just a replacement for a motor.
How much more would it be to swap out the 5 speed for a 2 speed?

I put an 00 in my 96.Roughly about 13k for motor/shipping/labor/misc parts,and freshening the trannie/clutch.Standard dealer labor rates apply.Hope that helps.

Several years ago I spent 10k on rebuilding my 3.0L with JE pistons and all other items OEM.
BTW, why would you want to switch from a 5 spd to a 2spd

New motor from the dealer will run you over 20K, used motors are available for 5 - 7K.

he probably means 2 speed powerglide tranny which is what most drag racers use. but if your going to do that, why not just swap in a full v8? plus i doubt they ever made the powerglide for a transverse mounted engine application.
