I remember his 4 cyl. AAR GTP car lapped quicker time
than an Indy car at Portland with Fangio at the wheel.

Dan, Phil Hill, Carol Shelby came to La Jolla some time ago signing art work to raise $ for the SD Children Museum, I was the guest photographer so had a special front row seat hanging with these 3 legends of our time. Dan signed my AAR denim shirt:smile:.....:grief: Carol did have a young GF there with him.:biggrin:
