Speed diff between a 91-94 coupe and 97+ T

I'm curious. What's the difference in speed between a 91-94 Coupe and a 97+ T in the 0-60 statistic.

Is it .5 seconds on the 0-60? 1 second?

The reason I ask is because, depending on which magazine article you read, you could get very different fluctuations in the 0-60 figure; e.g. on the 91-94 coupe, I frequently see anywhere between 5.1-5.7.

On the 97+ T, I've read 0-60s between 4.8-5.5.

Secondly, for those who have dirven both types of cars, is the difference in speed noticeable?

The most frequent numbers posted in tests are 5.2-5.4 for a '91-94 coupe and 4.8-4.9 for a '97+ -T.

for those who have dirven both types of cars, is the difference in speed noticeable?

Not as noticeable as the difference in structural rigidity.

Where the pre 97's stiffer???

It's that the coupes are stiffer than the "T"s.

and most post-97 NSX are Ts.

I personally would prefer the added power

Spoken from the perspective of someone without the extra structural rigidity.

I personally would prefer a '97+ coupe, such as a Zanardi.

If you added intake/header/exhaust to a 94'- wouldn't you end up with something similiar to the Zanardi power wise and structure wise?

These mods add questionable power, plus the Zanardi also has the 6spd.

I've researched quite a bit on this issue and it seems like this:

Pre97 with IHE dynos around 250-260 average(Peak).
97+ stock dynos around 260(Peak) but has more torque in lower RPM range thanks to the added displacement.
With the 6 speed and more torque, 97+ probably has a little bit of advantage.

The '97+ coupes are stiffer than the pre-'97 ones because the structural reinforcements for the -Ts left in the coupes, and the '97+ are the stiffest -Ts.

Aaaah...My kingdom for a '97+ NSX coupe....

There's one at Hopkins Acura in Redwood City right now -- a 2001, I think.

If I was a little more confident in the future, I would think about buying it. But right now it makes sense to me to play close to the vest...
