The arcade sticks and pads are hard to find. All the stores where I live were sold out before release. I imagine more will be available soon. Although I eventually got comfortable to the regular Xbox360 controller, the triggers make for terrible kick buttons.

Im trying to decide wether to get the ps3 version or the 360 version. What do most of you guys have. I remember seeing lots of prime guys in the Gears OF War lounges!!!!

They had a pre-release party down here in socal and it had to get shut down because of the sheer turnout of people. I'm so sad I couldn't make it. My friend made fake press passes and business cards and everything just to get special access. Nothing like seeing 30 somethings act like they're in HS again.
I haven't bought a console for years (last was GT2 in PS) but i'm going to cave on this one!!!
Just picked it up last Friday. Played it first thing when I woke up all weekend. Great game. Brings back memories.....

Getting ready to do some battle. The normal controller makes it hard to pefrom the moves and I think my new one isn't going to help much. I will probably leave it packaged and sell it. I heard they are hard to find. I also saw that they have another controller which is more "arcade" style so I will get that one.
I have a long flight to Singapore tomorrow so I will read up on the SFIV book and should have all the knowledge I need to master the game upon my return....:biggrin:

Guile is so hard to play on this game so I play Akuma now.
This game is awesome. It sucks though, sometimes good players will exit the game before they loose to not loose any battle points.

I have been on a week long biz trip and I was busy the week before. I have only played the game for 1 night since I got it..........sucks. I'm going to have to catch up quick. The extra book I bought has given some cool strategies and new moves. See you all online.
Do a lot of you guys have the TE fight stick? Man, that thing rocks. I like it more than the Hori.
Played this last night and I want to give up the game. I am having so much trouble trying to do the moves I know with the 360 controller. I spoke with Gamestop and they said the arcade style joystick has defects so it wasn't worth getting it.
Ugh. I guess I will wait for a better controller to come out.
Btw, I hate Abel. He seems so cheap with all of his throws...

^ I know man. I'm glad Akuma can teleport away from that crap. I stay far away when dealing with Abel and Zangief.
What about battle points? You guys been watching yours? I've been trying to get up to 3000 but its been very very hard. Sometimes I get to play with really good players but they're points are under 1000. So when I get beat, I loose 100+ points. But if I win, I get 20 points, sometimes I get 5 points. WTH!. Very unfair I think.
This is really the only gripe I have with this game. I wish Capcom would fix this. I don't want to play with people with under 1500 points. Taking a chance of loosing 100+ points is uncool especially knowing the most points I get if I win is under 20.
Anyway, play on my brothers.

ANOTHER SF game?? What's this, like the 100th SF game they have come out with? Of course half of those were like SF2 Super, Hyper, Mega, Super Duper, Super Hyper, Super-Mega-Hyper-Fantastic-Ultimate-etc....

I'm with you man. I stopped playing SF after SF Alpha. Anything past SF Alpha didn't feel like a real street fighter game. On this new one though, Capcom sticked to the original SF2 gameplay. Its 2D so its great, it becomes 3D when you execute super moves.
You loved SF2, I'm sure you're going to like SF4. As for me, I'm addicted.

Look up Hori Arcade pro 3 joysticks. Same as the one posted above composed of sanwa buttons and joystick. Sanwa makes the same controllers and buttons from the arcade cabinet versions of the game. :biggrin:
Well I have been playing some more and have decided I just cant play dhalsim well enough without a regular arcade style joystick so I need to get the "Fightstick". But as others have pointed out they are back ordered which is funny cause when you go on EBay it seems there are actually plenty but they have been bought up by dealers or whoever who are now selling them on EBay for a profit. I was really tempted to just pay but FCK them.....I will wait till more come out. I did read that the manufacturer was caught off guard and didn't expect such a high demand and is now ramping up production so more should be available soon.
For now I'm playing more with Blanka as its easier to perform his moves with the OEM controller.

A buddy of mine has two fight sticks, and the other stick they had (forgot what it's called) but man those sticks are nice. The Fight stick has a good amount of weight, but man the price. I'd rather get a custom stick though. Dj_matrix on shoryuken.com can make them with whatever buttons and what kind of gate you want (square, octogonal, or P360) for a good price.
On another note, I'm a guile player....but his flash kicks get stuffed by everything........ And I've noticed that I get crossed up a lot, so my flash kick ends up going to the opposite side.
So I picked honda back up, and he feels pretty weird too.
I'm still trying to learn the focus attack stuff. I'm sure you guys know, but you can cancel your attack with a focus attack too.
Oh remember to "install" the game too guys in the option menus, helps loading online A LOT.

yeah, there are two fightsticks by Mad Catz, 70-80 bucks for the SF4 Fight Stick:

From another forum, the Madcatz version got better reviews than the Hori version.
I preordered the white one posted on Buy.com for $77. Sucks it won't come out til May
Go to your options meu and you should be able to find it. BTW you can also change out each characters voice to either japanese or english too.
+1... oh, and you forgot to add "Alpha" into the mega mix of words.
But I'll probably end up buying this someday... just not yet.
