I am about to buy tires for my '96 with stock 16/17 wheels. Can anyone comment on preference to Dunlop Star Specs vs Michelin Exalto PE2s. Also, I had decided on 205/50/R16 for the front because they have the same diameter as the OEM 215/45/R16. I would use 225/50/16 but am concerned by the slightly greater tread width and 1.4" larger diameter causing rubbing or traction control issues.

Any comments from your experiences are welcome.

Thanks,

Kevin Cooper.

The Dunlop Star Specs are great tires. I just put on a set of 17/18 and they are probably one of the best handling street tire that I've ever had on my NSX. I think a "50" series sidewall may rub on the front a little on full lock.

Star Spec Z1s are a MUST. WAY better than anything in the price range.

The Star spec Z1's are an awesome tire!!! I have 4000 miles on a set on my 95 NSX. I have the 205/50 R16 on the front and have had no issues with it at all. They handle like they were made for the car. Very little wear on rear so far. Buy them...you will be glad you did... got mine at Discount Tire. Happy driving.
