Had the car out on the track for the first time with stock suspensionthis summer. Handled fine but needed to be pretty smooth in the corners as it would lean quite a bit. Decided to try type R front sways and S rears. I’m sure it’s been done many times previously, but here are some pics and dia measurements. Had to take the spare/battery support out to put the front on. Track season is over here, so probably can’t really tell the difference until spring but anyhoo..

How does it handle with that combination of sway bars? For the front type R sway bar, did you go with the earlier or later version? Later version has a larger diameter.

Seems to corner flatter, I won't know how it really handles until I can get it on the track in the spring. I believe the front R bar is the later one, although when I measured it, it seems closer to 21 then 22 mm.

For many years I tracked my car with Dali 22 mm sway bars front and rear combined with Zanardi springs on Bilstein shocks.
I very much liked the setting as I could still drive to the track in relative comfort.
Last year, I upgraded the setup to KW V3 clubsport shocks and I had to go back to the OEM rear swaybar to better control the oversteer.

That would make sense as you greatly stiffened the rear by going from a spring rate of 279 (Zanardi) to a spring rate of 457 (KW). The 2002+ NSX-R ran a similar rear rate as the KWs (465) and used a sway bar combination of 22.2mm front and 17.5mm rear.

All good info!
