Do Volks GTC come in full chrome (spokes too)? Or any similar rim cokme in full polish or chrome? Any photos? thank you!!!!!!!! Brent

oops meant come not "cokme" sorry

I swear, I'm not trying to be argumentative but...

why in God's name would you put chrome wheels on an NSX. Talk about a quick and easy way to add a ton of unsprung weight and negatively impact your cars ride and performance. I don't get it.

I was approached to participate in Dallas Hot Import Nights car show . Bling bling wheels, body kits, stereos, paint, etc....are all just for fun. I do not drive my car daily or track it. As long as I have short gears and a few performance items, I am happy....I hope that kinda answers the question. p.s. I hope to be getting the wheels/tires free...from a sponsor! also don't tell anyone but I will probably have electric lift lambo doors too!!! oh the shame!!!!! ha/ha

Bad experience? Don't be a player hater  I have chrome wheels on my nsx and after having them plated, they weighed the same amount.
In Gods name, here is a pic...........................Credit goes to Randy aka FuryNSX

Volks do have a new finish very similar to chrome. Its not dipped, but sprayed on. Alot of wheels nowdays have this finish since it looks just like chrome, but it is more durable. So yeah, it wouldnt be any heavier.

No offense intended guys, to each his own.

I'm just puzzled. So many of us go out of our way to lose unwanted weight from the car (Oddyssey batteries, carbon engine covers, ditching the spare and tool kit, etc.) and then we add weight in arguably the worst place possible by adding big and/or chromed wheels.

I apologize if my original post upset anyone. That wasn't my intent. I merely hoped to spark thought/discourse.

Hell yea!! Thats look sweeeet more photos please!!!

Volk do not come in chrome from Japan but your wheel shop may be able to take them apart and chrome them.

It is 2 piece so they have to take apart the face and lip.

You are looking at near $200 extra a wheel to do the chrome.

I have Merc Silver GTC and it is pretty shinny already. If you want Bling. Order them in Gold..

Darn, extra $200.00 each ? does anyone make a copy of the Volks GTC? In chrome?

Texas Brent-
Have you found any chrome gtc's yet? Iam thinking about getting mine chromed after seeing that pic.

Nope, Haven't found any yet.....I heard the wait if I do, will be 6 months from Volks!!!

Maybe you can order them unfinished from Volk and have them sent to a place to get the new powdercoated chrome/black chrome finishes? UR2slow had his done for 225 bucks a wheel. I was quoted about the same but the finish is more durable than real chrome they say.

Any Pics? Can they powdercoat over my mercury silver?

I see you already found the thread.

But you can find more info here: http://www.goodrichtechnology.com/

Do a search on Permastar. Also search eBay for "black chrome" and look in the wheels section and I think you'll find some more examples. You can e-mail the guys at Goodrich and see if they can cover over what you have or if you have to have it blasted off...

Volk Racing Japan now offers new finishes including chrome which you can order the GT-C in, but they do not refer to it as "chrome." They do offer the finish. Consult an authorized distributor they can help you. Rays Engineering makes different wheels for all sorts of cars even mexican vans but people do not really know that.

how about work wheels? some of work wheels have a 'chrome' finish available. It's not chrome, it's a painted on finish. durable & easier to clean. I just got my 'chrome finish' TS-1's in 18/8 & 19/10.

PM me if you want pics
