Incredible deal, even at that time.

I purchased the NSX at the beginning of the great real estate crash. Apparently the seller needed to sell it quickly and sold it $15,000 below low KBB value.

I remember there were quite a number of NSXs being sold at extremely reasonable prices during the real estate crash.

I used over 70 data points collected from July to Dec 2015 to create this chart. Miles on the X axis, dollars and the Y axis and the bands indicate various "condition and service" ratings. The vertical red line was for an early model with 50K miles. The data included 91 through 94 year model only. Data was gathered from Ebay, Autotrader, Cars,com, Mecums & BJ auctions, and the Prime. Cars were mostly stock or mildly modified. Check your recently bought car and see if the model holds.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that may be a record for a standard issue NA1 NSX.

Doc, I wish I had seen the ad for the Orlando NSX over at First Class Automotive a few days sooner. I might have jumped on it. In light of recent sales that was a bargain.

my 2nd 91 nsx...... $29,500 with 70k Red/black Manual... 1999
my 3rd 99 nsx....... $50,000 with 9k Kaiser silver/black Manual targa....2007 ish
my 4th 02 nsx....... $55,000 ish with 19kish yellow/black manual targa..... 2009 or so (traded in for $50k towards 2004 Gallardo, BIG mistake.)

so I have had 4 total, my 99 was probably my favorite, they were all stock for the most part, and very reliable.
I just don't see why they are sooo much more that a few years back. I have been looking for a white 02+ for quite some time, and yes I know they are super rare.

I might have said this before, but I used to hope someday to find an NA2 w/popups and way less miles than my car and trade up. Now I think that's just not going to ever happen.

I bought mine a little over two years ago from a good friend who was the first and only previous owner. I have been telling him for 17 years that the day he is ready to finally part with it, I'm first in line. So, in October of 2013 he finally realized he just couldn't keep it any longer (he switched to a Tesla sedan). I paid 38k for his 1996 Acura NSX-T with 55k miles on it, still bone stock. It's now got 67k miles because, I can't resist driving it all the damned time.

An interesting anecdote, I sold 50 bitcoins to help pay for the car.

Just adding another data point here -

Just bought an immaculate black 1996 NSX-T, bone stock, 70k miles, from a borderline-OCD retired rocket scientist. (photo in signature) Great guy, kept his car in showroom condition, and didn't even drive it in the rain. Our favorite local NSX guru Jim Russell had been the only one to ever work on it since he bought it in '99 or '00, and he knows the car well and completely vouched for it as one of the best/cleanest NSX'es he's aware of. Only mod it had were the comptech headers.

Paid $55k.

1994 Brooklands Green, tan interior, manual, 74.2k miles, good condition, $34,500 in October 2015.

Technically, I paid $35k, but the seller would not go any lower because he had a lien for that amount. So, he threw in an almost new Pride exhaust into the deal, which I plan to sell for >$500.

Interior: 5/10
Needed tb, wp, and basically a full 90k service and tune up.

I purchased my 98'NSX-T manual, yellow/blk in July of 2004 for $42,000, 85,000 miles with minor mods (taitech gt lt wt exhaust [stock headers], SSR wheels, bilstein shocks [stock springs], aftermarket carbon fiber air box, aftermarket stabilizer bars [front and rear]. Car was in good condition.

Bought mine in early 2014 for $38k. I actually traded + cash for it: my mildly modified 350z (w/ rotora brakes, 19" Volks TE-37s) + $25k for my NSX.
I wonder if my NSX would sell for the same price today..I'm assuming a little over $38k, since the new paint job is still perfect and i got the TB/WP and new radiator done.

Any thoughts? Love this car BTW =)
