Hi all,

Any shop recommendations in the bay area for NSX-R chassis bar and front sway bar install?

Auto Innovations turned me down. So did Don @ Hilltop. I've had work done at both shops before.

Thanks, any recommendations appreciated.

Lots of "cheap" wrench turners in your area here on prime. It's a simple install. I say a case of coronas and throw some burgers on the grill or pizza and you'll end up with a wonderful day with fellow owners and cheap labor lol. My front sway install/removal only took me about 20 minutes btw.

what about Jimbo? he's gotta shop and is an owner here on prime.

Why would those shops turn you down? It's an easy task.....

my buddy owns a shop. He installed my front and rear sways on my NSX and did my tranny fluid change last night. His shop is in Daly City if you interested.

He also did some work on NSX Jombo's car. He mostly works on S2000's though.

let me know...His prices are pretty cheap

But like other mentioned, its a pretty easy install. Just make sure your endliks aren't leaking or rusted up. happened to me and I needed to buy new endlinks to do the install.

Front sway bar is a piece of cake. It's the 2 NSX-R chassis bar that's
going to discourage most shops. The easiest way to do them is to
remove the front bumper and most suspension guys don't want to
mess with body parts. This is where his dilemma is going to be.
If you can remove your bumper, I will help you install the chassis
bars. I don't want to scratch your bumper during the removal, almost
did that with mine. Luckily, I put a blanket in front of the car and it
prevented scraping when it accidentally dropped.

I heard you don't need to remove the bumper to install chasis bars, but that you can go in through the bottom. 30 minutes to do the chasis bars, and like 20 minutes for the sway bar. No bumper removal.

btw need a Type R front swaybar??? :) I got one I need to sell.

What you heard is correct. That's why I said the "easiest way", not the "only way". Read the the thread carefully and find out why there are damaged push pins and some took 4 hours to do.

front bumper removal in opinion is not the easist way. yes after removing the front bumper the install is a snap but i would rather not remove the front bumper. With a lift and right tools its not that hard.

Hey Daly city is local and I have some chasiss bar and front sway bar to install and can use a tranny fliud change. Can you post/pm his shops number and name I will give him a call.
Thanks

i just installed these a few days ago...took me 45 min. Hardest part is getting the radiator shroud out and in but other than that its a piece of cake...
I just jacked up the front of my car onto jacks and accesiibility was not an issue.
