What sorta matte finish is on this 360 Modena?

its a black base coat with a sealer/clear from ppg called "flex n flat". i sprayed this stuff on my buddys car and it turned out really nice.

I like it. Think it'd be tough to do to my nsx? This glossy black is starting to get on my nerves.
well, you would have to respray your car. i wouldnt put it over the existing finish because of the way it might react with the old finish. i would scuff the existing paint and seal it with primer. then base coat and straight to the flex n flat. the flex n flat is an epoxy based clear coat with the proper ratio of flattener in it to make it set up with a dull finish. the painting process is exactly the same as any other automotive finish except you skip the cut and buff process.

It's a satin black. Basically a flat black with a clear coat on top. Pure flat black is quite a hassle to maintain so satin black was a nice compromise. It's hard to capture in pictures; I think it shows much better in person.
Yep, the way Vegas did his car is superior to "real" flat black. I had a true flat back motorcycle for a couple years.
