Ok guys, I dont know if many of you remember, but I had some brake dust on my wheels that just wouldnt quit. Today, I tried some ps21 that someone gave me. OMG it all came right off. This is stuff that simlegreen, dawn,409, even custom soultions wouldnt even budge on. Needless to say I am buying this in the largest bottle available. I just just on the brink of refinishing my wheels. WOW what a miracle.

need to change your pads. Cause the dust eventually will eat thru your wheel finish. Even tho you can get the dust off easier now the damage is working under the dust.

I have project Mu Street pads.. It leaves virtually no dust.

Cleaning your wheels with this http://www.eagleone.com/_products/2,2088618.asp
is almost like magic. Spray the dirty wheel and wipe every bit (not to clean, but just to wipe it in). Do the next 3 wheels. By the time you are done doing this step to the last wheel, you will be able to buff the dirt/dust off with ABSOLUTE ease on the first wheel that you did (make sure it is totally dry before buffing). Feels just like a perfectly waxed car. Do it weekly, and never wet clean your wheels again, just dust them off with a cotton towel.

Here is a new product that just started showing up @ auto stores. http://www.buyhardwaresupplies.com/hardware_supplies.cfm?t=5&itemNumber=8183170 Dupont Teflon detail sprays. I believe that the Eagle 1 wet used to have Teflon or it still does. not sure.

Don, what is PS21  I need to get this for the rims on my Navigator

This is interesting. I am going to go get a bottle of the eagle1 and do a side by side. (I still have an old rim with the same stuff that I couldn't get off) I am pretty sure I tried everything, so thats why I was pretty excited about it.

This is actually P21S (not PS21), right? I want to make sure I buy the right stuff. :)

Do I need to buy it from one of the few dealers listed on the P21S site or is it common to find this locally?

Why didn't you try an angle grinder those things will take anything off

P21S is overpriced and does not even compare in the cleaning power of Wheel Wash.

I did a side by side with a Porsche owner who thought his P21S was the best stuff since canned beer. He was shocked to find out that I can spray the wheel then just rinse off the brake dust with the pressure from the water hose.

On Top of the Line P21S, the 33oz bottle costs $17.00 http://www.topoftheline.com/p2gelwheelcl.html

On the same website Wheel Wash costs $15.00 for a GALLON....which by the way can make you a gallon and a half when cut with water.

You can also see some pictures of the Wheel Wash at work. http://www.topoftheline.com/wheeltirecare.html

So why does P21S sell their product at a higher cost for less product with less cleaning power? Because people buy it!

While Wheel Wash is acid based BUT it is not hydroflouric nor is it caustic when used on chrome and clear coated wheels. Always test to see if you have uncoated aluminum wheels before using ANY wheel cleaner. Coated aluminum wheels are fine.

I'm surprised Simple Green didn't work for you. That is all I use for detailing the thousand plus vehicles per year and counting. Here is a picture of a Porsche wheel caked up something serious. She always complained to car washes that the wheels weren't clean and was told they will never look new again. She was stunned with our results. I mix 1 quart of S.G. Pro series to 3 quarts water.

Welcome to 'Prime S.A.MobileDetail

Great inaugural post - hard to believe same car! I'm sure the owner was thrilled.
Be sure to come back & update us with more of your tips for us DIYers.
We have some great ProDetailers who come here often & give us great advice but another perspective is aways welcome.

If you have polished aluminum wheels do not get this stuff. They don't mention it on their website but there is a warning on the bottle. It will immediately cloud the aluminum and you'll have to polish the surface to restore it.

I use Simple Green most of the time but when running performance pads which dust more, P21S seems to work better.

I though did state such in my post. The Wheel Wash CAN be used on aluminum but it should not be sprayed on but rather brushed on.

It is best though to err on the side of caution and use an aluminum safe wheel cleaner and then polish the wheels out. Naked aluminum is rather rare these days so always test the wheel first.

For those using Simple Green......beware of it doing possible damage to certain metals it has been shown to stain. The U.S. Army and Airforce plus aviation makers have DISCONTINUED using Simple Green due to a corrosive agent in the Simple Green formula. So use at your own risk.
