Window washer dribble

Once or twice a week I find that my windshield washer nozzles have dribbled on the hood. Minor annoyance. What's going on? Thanks

Check the vent on the fill cap.

I'm guessing that there may be some residue inside the nozzles themselves. Try taking a pin and poke/wiggle it around the opening where the water exits. Worked on my other cars.

on a related note, are the nozzles supposed to have a nice wide and even spray pattern or is it just a jet stream? I havent used mine, so i'm not sure.
