I always thought it was a weird sounding song with the "oooaahhhhoooooo" part. While I was listening to Daft Punk's new album today, I realized they sounded similar.

If it's not Daft Punk, Daft Punk ripped that guy off.

I highly doubt Daft Punk ripped off anybody. If that track was originally done when that video was made, I doubt it was Daft Punk. I'm guessing that video was filmed sometime in 1990 perhaps. Daft Punk wasn't formed till ~1993 and they were relatively unknown back then.
