I think those are very cool superchargers, but unless I am missing something, they are just a centrifugal supercharger with a unique belt drive solution.
I think I would rather do a turbo than go with a centrifugal supercharger.
I actually would rather start with the whipple, but the m90 with a custom case will probably meet my HP requirements (~430 on pump gas) and be a lot cheaper.
Does anyone have a good picture of the "pully plate" that comes with the comptech kit?

I have been looking at options for forced induction for the NSX for a while. I have been a turbo guy all my life, and I love the power available, but I admit to a certain fascination with a positive displacement blower setup.
That said, I would really want to intercool a...
Nate, I am well aware of all of these complexities. I was simply stating that, for a given boost level, torque varies less than HP. I say this precisely becuase of the factors that you mentioned.
In my humble opinion, the best way to play the "am I running the same boost as the other guy game" is to compare not HP but torque. Torque is really the best indicator of cylinder fill or mixture density. HP is just a function of that static value over time.
All of the above references are...
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why comptech wouldnt have done this the first time. I have been wondering that for about 6 years.
Exlempary work. Can you explain the airflow? Does it flow through the core, under, and back up into individual runners?

Congratulations on an awesome run. I knew the nsx was capable of this kind of performance.
One thing does stick out though - your 60', E.t., and trap speed dont add up. Generally, if you know the 60' and the trap, you can get a pretty good idea of the e.t. Your e.t should be down in the 10.2...
it doesnt take much movement to break a weld in a situation like that. easy enough to put some flex in the system.. why wouldnt you just as a precaution?
Dont forget that there is movement in the engine mounts. Your turbine discharge pipe to you throttle body should have a bellow coupler on it. You should also just hardweld a bulkhead connection through the firewall.
I like your concept, just a couple of questions/concerns:
Do you think hanging the IC back there is going to affect the weight balance at? Or do you maintain a pretty close balance by getting rid of the stock muffler system?
Do you have an IAT probe on the car? I would be very interested in...
A bad launch will never result in a "higher trapspeed" it will just result in a lower ET than the car is capable of.
Trapspeed is a very good indication of the horspower of a vehicle. ET is obviously a function of power and traction.
