    Should I replace my '94 w/ 168k miles with a '15 BMW M4?

Been daily driving my '94 for the last 7 years, and in that time happy doubled the mileage. It hardly ever breaks, it has gradually gained value, and the insurance is really cheap. It's been a great bang for the buck, and considerably cheaper to run than anything in the same league of...

Car thinks lights are on, but they are not. Loose switch?

My climate control and radio backlight will dim (as if the lights are turned on) randomly and then come back on bright as usual. Sometimes when I turn the car off I'll get the "lights are on" alarm even if the lights are switched off. Any idea what faulty switch or relay may be causing this?

Rebuild existing driveshafts, or buy Insane Shafts?

My right side axle has been "clunking" for years. They had a full rebuild about 4 years ago and then I've also injected extra grease into the boot about a year ago but there is always still a clunking. With the car's big service coming up, would it be worth it to just buy a new set of Insane...

Wheels TC Sportline 15mm rear hubcentric spacers

TC Sportline 15mm rear hubcentric spacers, 64.1mm hole. They've been on my car since 2012 and work great. No vibrations from the rear. A little dirty, but hey you won't see it after you install them. Adapter wrench is missing one lug but still works fine. Asking $85 shipped.

What to blame, the part (from SoS) or the installer (my shop)?

My shop installed an SoS Sport 275 clutch and SoS-provided throwout bearing in November. About a month ago, the bearing started making a constant humming noise when the clutch is fully disengaged, after the car has been driven around a little in gear. There is no noise on startup. The noise...

How much coolant to drain to replace thermostat?

I had a coolant change not too long ago, so I feel it's kind of a waste to replace all of the fluid. Roughly how much do I need to drain to get below the thermostat level? I have about 1.3 gallons of Honda Type 2 50/50 on hand and I'm wondering if I need to pick up more.

Adjusting clutch master cylinder rod depth without removing it from the car?

My clutch is engaging way too high. Is there a special technique to reach the locknut from within the footwell? It's so cramped in there I just don't see how. What kind of crazy wrench/extension do I need to reach up in there? I'd rather not remove it from the car and bleed the fluid again.

It had been a while since my NSX put a smile on my face

I had been puttering around with bad 3rd gear synchros and more recently, a chattering stock clutch that would sporadically stall out in 1st. $5k, an SoS rebuilt 5-speed exchange and SoS Sport clutch later, and I'm grinning ear to ear driving it back from the shop after being able to shift...

Rebuild current clutch or buy new clutch?

Car is at 120k miles, and my clutch is starting to chatter and engage randomly in first gear with the pedal pushed in. I don't have documentation in its history that shows that a new clutch was ever put in...but I'd assume it hasn't gone 19 years and 120k miles on the original clutch. Anyway, I...

Clutch would intermittently engage with pedal pressed down in 1st gear

My car started having a really hard time shifting into third gear under aggressive driving (grinding in that case), and the slave cylinder line leaked a little bit of fluid. Shifting into third while driving slowly is fine. I figured I have bad third gear synchros, and have been double clutching...

    Are my synchros going bad?

This issue just recently happened for me. The transmission fluid was last changed 25k miles ago. Let's say I'm at 40mph in second gear (4000rpm) trying to shift into third gear (3000rpm). -If I put the gear selector into third really quick, without waiting for the rpms to naturally drop, it...

E-brake indicator on gauge coming on, then TCS and ABS lights stay on

The e-brake light on the gauge cluster stays on when the e-brake is disengaged, then both the TCS and ABS lights come on and stay on. The e-brake light eventually goes away after a few minutes but comes back on under hard acceleration or braking. The car doesn't seem to be limited power-wise...

ECU, clock fuse reset question for NA1

Just put on test pipes on my '94 and it smells like gas. I know I'm supposed to pull the clock fuse to do an ECU reset, but how would it adjust anything? From the point of view of the ECU, where the pre-cat O2 sensors are, everything is the same. There's no second set of O2 sensors to get data from.

Ground loop with USA-Spec DF-HON adapter

I'm running a USA-Spec DF-HON adapter and there's a both an rpm-based whine and a (much more annoying) beep that happens every few seconds whenever it's being used. This happens both whens the mp3 player is plugged in and unplugged. When listening to radio, there is no ground loop at all. I...

Window regulator rebuild - BETTER than new

After my regulator died on me, I installed all the Hugabuga parts, including the metal axle collar.
