2002+ metallic blue NSX spotted in SF

You on here? :D Seen on Ocean street today at around 4PM. I was driving the opposite lane in my BMW. Fairly young asian guy driving the NSX. I'll have to say though. After seeing the new front end in blue up close, its gorgeous unlike the other yellow one I saw at the car show.

    Cars running rich?

JJCNSX explained it pretty well. Also if running too rich, the spark plugs will foul up eventually.

    Cars running rich?

If its running overly rich, you should see some black smoke and your mileage will be worse. And a slight decrease in power.

    NSX vs. Supra , Handling

I feel MR setups (if done right) are naturally a superior setup than other setups. As mentioned, the NSX has a low polar moment of inertia so the chassis is quick to respond. Under higher speeds, when hard braking, weight transfers to the front wheels thus altering the F/R weight distribution...

    Arrgh! Parallel parking woe

I was not overly serious. Notice the wink. ;) What I meant was I wouldn't be parking it in crowded parking lots basically. Or at least if I were to park, I'd leave a considerable distance. Sorry for not mentioning it though. Anyways, all the daily driven cars in my family and including mines...

    Arrgh! Parallel parking woe

If I had an NSX, I would not be parking it in the city. ;) A busy urban metropolis like San Francisco where door dings and dents are inevitable...

How many of you play a musical instrument here?

I play the piano. Use to take lessons as a kid but had to quit as I become more busy in highschool. Still play the piano once in a while though.

Apexi' VAFC and SAFC for NSX

If you can afford it, an aftermarket ECU has more tuning capabilities than piggyback types. Not sure whats out there for the NSX though. Gains may be minimal (or not) as well if you stay NA so its up to you to see whats out there. I personally run a Microtech LTX8 EMS on my RX7. May consider...

went by mazda today to see the RX-8

Yup, and lets not forget the 70+ ft. of vacuum hoses too for the 3rd gen RX7. Yikes!

Why doesn't the NSX have 4 piston brakes?

Yup, my RX7 Turbo has 4 piston brakes too. :)

went by mazda today to see the RX-8

Not sure if this is true but I think the 4th gen RX7 depends on the success of the RX8. The 3rd gen RX7, when released in the states, were notorious for having many problems and recalls.

went by mazda today to see the RX-8

No offense taken, just glad the rotary is back. :) Though the RX8 will never replace the 3rd gen RX7, it is something new and something more practical to sell before Ford shuts down rotaries forever. Standards for NSX owners are pretty high indeed. After all, the NSX is a VERY high quality car...

went by mazda today to see the RX-8

Oh, almost forgot about the S2000. Sat in one at the car show, fits me like a glove! Interior is quite nice as well, definitely better quality and feel than the RX8. But I still feel the RX8 interior is better than what the Evo8 has to offer.

went by mazda today to see the RX-8

I'm really impressed with the interior of the RX8. The gauge layout is awesome and I like the how thin the front seats are. The rest of the interior looks and feels quite sporty. The Evo8's interior is just so bland and dull. Haven't seen an STi's interior in person yet though. Exterior of the...

    NSX Winning????

That video featured a Type S or Type S Zero, not sure which one. Surely it would have done better with a Type R. He wasn't as good as a driver as the RX7 or R34 driver which took tighter turns. Theres another supercar race from Best Motoring with the Ferrari F50, Porsche GT3, NSXR, Murcielago...

What sets the NSX apart from the rest

Why do I like it? The engineering behind it, the superb craftsmanship and quality to the highest standards, and exotic use of titanium and aluminum. The car is gorgeous as well even after well over a decade. It is a top quality dead-reliable car and one of the finest cars ever made. Few people...

    stupid clutch question

It depends. How long are you holding the clutch? I use to dis-engage the clutch very slowly when I first starting learning stick (doing it too slowly will always cause some wear.) After a while, you get a feel for the engagement point and do it quicker. I usually let up the clutch fast up to...

    stupid clutch question

This is also called feathering the clutch. Its ok to do but ONLY if the revs are very low. Revving high like 3K and while riding the clutch will burn up the clutch.

    R/C opinion

RC Tech forums are good, I'm there too. Its built up of mainly racers and its a mature forum. Theres also the www.rccaraction.com forums which is even more busy but most of them are of the younger group.

    R/C opinion

Get both. Car bodies are cheap. $25 each. A word about the Schumacher Fusion, get some extremely sticky rubber. It doesn't nearly handle as well as other cars out there but its very fast. But if top speed is all you care about, then the Fusion is not a bad choice. ;)

    nsx bashing

They are not true enthusiasts then. I would still buy an NSX if it was made by Kia but the quality was all the same. I'll like a car for what it is, not judge it by its badge.
